Chapter 17 (*Player 3 has joined your party*)

Todoroki's POV:

When I got trapped under the ice, I panicked. I felt like I'd drown at any second. In that moment, I did the only thing I could think to do.

Though I hate to admit it, I needed to use my left side. I melted my ice but lost control of the heat and caused the water to boil.

At least I was alive.

But now I'm confronted with annother few problems. I've lost my eyepatch, reveiling my disgusting mark to everyone and now... I have to admit that there's more to my quirk then Ice.

Y/N sat infront of me, an encouraging look on her face. The bandage I'd suck on her yesterday was somehow already dirty and her H/L hair was completely messed up. Yet she still looked kinda cute.... I mean unharmed. I ment to say unharmed.

Um...

I looked away from her.

"So... I lied a little about my quirk." I muttered.

She didn't say anything and I couldn't see if her expression had changed.

"It's not just ice. My quirk's real name is 'Half hot, half cold'. I- I can only make ice with the right side of my body my left side... makes fire."

I looked back up at her. She looked a little surprised but she didn't seem too upset.

Her eyes darted around a little, her expression becoming a little nervous as she slowly moved her hands towards mine.

Slowly lifting my hands up, she smiled, her eyes now shining.

"Your left hand's warm and you're right's cold. It all makes sence now." She laughed, "I wondered how come you were so warm with such a cold quirk but now I get it!"

Not letting go of my hands she stood up, helping me to do so too.

I couldn't help but feel my face get warmer. It must've been a side effect of being under water but I still couldn't help but notice how nice Y/N was being. How did I miss this yesterday?

"Everything good over there?" Kirishima called,

"Yep! We're all good!" Y/N cheered, letting go of me and waiving the others over instead.

Bakugo and Kirishima re-claimed there now dampened cloth and I appolagied for the trouble.

"No problem," Eijiro insisted, "You got the orb though, right?"

For a second I thought I'd dropped it under the water before noticing that it was down by my feet. Picking it up, I put on a victorious smile as Y/N cheered at my success.

"Well done! You put up a pretty good fight honestly, even if only a few punches were thrown." The gaurdian smiled, taking the object out of my hand.

"And now for your reward!" He said, grinning once again.

The orb started to shine brighter until his hole hand was drowned in light. Once the light faided again, however, the orb had been transfromed into a dark red metal wrench.

This confused me and I must've accidentally shown that confusion on my face.

"Oh yeah, Ya' see, all the keys are disguised as different objects. It makes them even harder to find that way." Eijiro said with an almost mischivious tone of voice.

I took the wrench out of his hand and carefully placed it in one of my bag's free pockets.

"Thank you." I smiled a little.

"So were're you heading to now?" Kirishima asked, "I'll notify that place's gaurdian ahead of time."

Y/N and I pulled out our maps and held them together to see which location was the closest.

"Is it... Symphogear?" She muttered, pointing at the marked point.

"Yeah, a city." I replied, Taking a mental note of the direction we'd start heading in.

"Right! Then we're heading to Symphogear!" Y/N grinned, punching the air.

She turned to look at her old friend, who hadn't said anything yet. The entire time, He'd been to the side, slouching almost miserably.

"Were're you going Bakugo?" She asked, enthusiastically.

He grunted and folded his arms, looking away a little in a scowl.

"Dunno. Just didn't wanna' stay in one place." He muttered, narrowing his eyes.

Y/N gasped and turned back to me.

"Todoroki, can he come with us? Please?" Her voice squeeked, a big grin on her face.

I looked up at him again, "I'm not sure if we can..."

"Please!" She gripped onto my shirt sleve and started bouning on her toes, "Please, please, please, please!"

I rolled my eyes... He was her friend after all.

"Ok, but only if he wants to."

"YAY! Kacchan! You can travel with us!" She giggled, jumping about.

She's acting like a 5 year old...

"Tch. Fine. But only cuz I wanna catch up with you." He huffed.

I rolled my eyes and cault sight of Kirishima laughed to himself, amused by this scenario.

Symphogear.... I could've sworn I've heard that name more recently...
