"Hey. Haku. Wake up."

"No..."

"You've been asleep all day. And, you've been pinning me down. My arm is going dead."

"Oh. Sorry."

"Come on, you big fat lump. Get up."

"Am not fat!"

"You know what I mean."

"I don't want to get up. Let me sleep," Haku said, rolling over, almost crushing Neru in the process.

"Get off of me. I actually want to breathe."

"Haha, can't relate."

"What?"

"What?"

"On that bombshell..."

"Yeah, uh, yeah, no. I'm gonna sleep."

"Fine. But don't snore."

"What?! I don't snore!"

"You do, sometimes."

"Shut up."

"Right, get out of my way. Let me get up."

"Huh? Whyyy...?"

"Do you want me to piss on you?"

"Just... Just hold it, or something. I want cuddles."

"I will literally be like, two seconds. Let go."

"No thanks..."

"Haku."

"Sleepy..."

"I don't care. Move."

Snaking her arm around Neru's waist, Haku whispered,

"You're boring."

"And you're really annoying."

"What?"

"Let me get up."

"Fine."

Neru got up, and left. Haku turned onto her side, curling up, shutting her eyes.

**************

~Haku's POV~

I felt Neru's hand shaking my arm, but I couldn't move, let alone respond. Her voice was all but a distorted screeching, deafening, and it hurt. I didn't know if I was dying, or what. I didn't even know if my eyes were open. I tried calling out her name, but I couldn't make a noise. I could see something - someone - coming toward me.

Is this sleep paralysis?

Is that my sleep paralysis demon?

It looks like Dell. I wonder why.

He's coming closer. I can't move, or scream out. Talking about screaming, please be quiet, Neru. You're making it worse.

Please, don't come any closer. Dell? Dell, please?

Onii-chan?

Please don't hurt me.

Neru, you're getting louder. Stop that, please.

Oh my, he has fangs. Is that blood? Don't hurt me. I beg. I have to look after my Neru. I can't die. Not yet.

What're you doing? Hey, stop. Stop that. Put the knife down. Dell. Please.

Don't.

DON'T.

PLEASE.

PLEASE!
