CHAPTER 7: I brought the most important historical artifact

Lana...

Lana...

Lana, wake up!

Wake up! Dammit.

Someone has been calling my name. It sounded like he's just somewhere near me.

I opened my eyes but my sight is a bit blurry. How long did I passed out? The pain on my head kept on throbbing.

I opened my eyes again and I started to gain my sight back. I blink a couple of times until I realized that there's a male figure frantically staring right at me.

"God...?" I asked. Did I die? Did my body not survive from time traveling?

"Do you really think highly of me?" He sounded amused.

"Am I in heaven?"

"Are you an idiot?!" He yelled. His voice made my ears hurt. Why is God yelling at me? Are my sins no longer forgivable?  "Do you really think you're going to heaven?"

My eyes widen when I realized that I wasn't talking to God. I was talking to the devil himself.

"Jay!" I stood up but my legs failed me. My brother caught me before I fall down.

"Why the hell did you came out from an arcade machine?!" He scolded me.

"What?" Did Jay just witness time traveling firsthand?!

"And then you brought a guy?!"

"What...a guy?"

"You have some explaining to do, sis." Jay pointed out an unconscious Antonio lying on the floor. Why the hell is he here?!

I pushed Jay away and I approached Antonio. I placed my ear near his chest. I sighed in relief. He's still breathing. He just passed out from time traveling.

"You know I almost pee my pants when I saw you came out from that thing!" Jay said. I can see the panic in his eyes. "You we're gone for two hours, Lana!"

"I've been gone for seven days, Jay!" I yelled back at him. Antonio grunted. His ears must be sensitive to noise right now.

"Sometimes your basic knowledge about date amused me." He sarcastically said.

I suddenly realized that maybe time works differently between the present and the past. Maybe time works faster in the past compared to the present time.

"I don't need your shit right now, Jay!" I yelled. He looked taken aback by my temper.  "I brought the most important historical artifact in Philippine History and he's passed out on a floor that wasn't cleaned for decades!"

"What are you talking about, idiot?!"

"I time traveled!" I frantically said. "And this passed out guy is General Antonio Del Mundo."

"...what?" Jay looked at Antonio and then the time machine. Jay looked confused and maybe a part of him thinks that I'm losing my mind. "So that's not an arcade machine?"
