I'm at the beach with Leah, sitting on a towel. She brought a bunch of snacks. Fruits, sandwiches and refreshers for the both of us from Starbucks. It was probably the cutest thing she's planned. A little picnic on the beach. And she's playing some of the best songs to vibe to at the beach.

"Nice weather huh?" I ask her. "Yeah it is" she responds.

"I love how you cut the strawberries in half."

"Ha.. thanks?"

"I'm just saying! You took time to plan today. It's so cute. This whole setting of the food is cute and the food is good. And I'm just enjoying it with you" I said. She forces a smile and shrugs her shoulders.

I cheesed and reached my hand to her face.

"You're lucky I let you touch my face a lot. I hate when people touch my face." Leah says. "I do too" "then why do you do it to me?" She asks. "Cause!!!.....you're too precious. How can I not"

"Oh jeez" she shakes her head and giggles. I went on my knees and crawled over to her. "What?" She asks. "You're really gonna spend time with me and Ver tomorrow?" I ask her and tilt my head. I remember what she said to us on FaceTime.

"Mhm"

"Aw.."

"What? I wanna spend time with her" she says

"I know.." I smile and gave her a soft kiss. I've been feeling more into her. More than usual. Just because of the way she loves Veronica. Ever since graduation, each night Leah would call to say goodnight to the both of us. She'll have long conversations with Veronica too till Veronica fell asleep. She's really putting a lot of effort to make things right and honestly she's made it all right already. Knowing she's trying is good enough.

"I was thinking of going to the dog beach next time. I think it would be fun and Veronica would love that. Lots of playful dogs everywhere" Leah says. "She would love that" I said.

"And Biscuit is really friendly with other dogs so it'll be nice"

"That's good. I miss Biscuit! Every time I go to your house we end up having sex and I forget she's somewhere in the house" I giggle. "Pffft" Leah scoffs and looks away. I stared at her side profile for a few seconds before I decided to get more food. She's just too pretty.

"Can I ask you something?" I said. "Shoot" She says. "Mmkay well..I'm getting to know more details about you this time than I did when we first started dating back then...but..how'd you do it?" I ask.

"Do what?"

"Be so strong? After you know..not having your parents around then end up pregnant. I wouldn't know what to do in that situation."

"Well that's cause you're so close to family so you're used to having support all around. Yes I didn't know what to do but I couldn't just not do anything. I just continued my everyday life to try and do what I can do for myself. Even if I had no support. I thought having a boyfriend would kind of help me out but obviously it didn't because I have a kid..ha."

"Wow.."

"Yeah" she shrugs. "You're an amazing role model. For younger ladies who end up in a similar path."

"Hmm"

"I'm just saying. Like that inspires me myself"

"But you're successful. You're young with a nice house, nice car.."

"Car was from my parents. I don't get credit for that" I said. "Okay but your house."
