SUMMARY
The Marauders plus Lily was finding that Christmas break boring. There were less students than ever at the school and no matter how many games, they were still stuck in the cycle of boredom that dulled the mind until all you felt and thought it was nothing.
So, in desperation, they arrived at the feet of Minerva McGonagall. The professor they all loved, even if she was rather strict. She seemed hesitant, but agreed to tell them a story. Under Sirius' asking, a constant asking from the beginning of their first year, she told the story of her most amazing love. A love that she could never forget, and never get back.
She told them the story of her first year teaching at Hogwarts, and of Sebastian Wallace.
NOTES -so this kinda goes somewhat against cannon but i don't care, cannon is mixed up too so yeah
-McGonagall worked at the ministry for years before going to work at Hogwarts. she started the position at hogwarts at 24 years old and Sebastian is 28 years old
-minerva won't tell the kids everything, some details keeping to herself that she didn't want to share with anyone. kinda write it with flash forwards to minerva telling them before going back to the story. like, most chapters of the story and then every once in awhile a flash forward of minerva and the marauders, you know?
-minerva was focused on being a good teacher and didn't want to be distracted
-sebastian is sweet. he's not a smooth talker or trouble maker. he's sweet, charming, but fun. he's fun and sweet
-sebastian went to school in america before taking a job at hogwarts and has worked there for two or three years
-minerva loved spending time with him but didn't want to be with him since they're both teachers and she thinks that will look bad on her
-kinda a soft, sweet tale of a wonderful love
-sebastian tries to push her away at some point and that's when minerva realizes that she loves him
-in the end, sebastian should die. it's a sweet but sad love story
