CHAPTER 30 (MATURE CONTENT)

"There's my future wife!" A loud voice boomed across the clearing.

"UGH! Why?!" Carla groaned in annoyance seeing Firelight coming towards them.

"Why do you love me so much?" Firelight sang out, "because I'm sexy and you know it."

"Nope. I'm done." Carla said walking away as an adoring Firelight chased after her.

Tracy just giggled and predictably Jack came swooping in from wherever he was to chase away the would be suitor trying to get close to his lady. Tracy just didn't know how Jack and Carla would function without Firelight constantly trying to meddle.

Gideon came over to where Tracy stood as she began directing the Omegas in one last practice before dinner.

"Everything is set." Gideon said, "I'll have my private plane take us to coven where my nephew is." he hesitated slightly before continuing, "I would strongly suggest that you tell your mate where you are going."

Tracy sighed, "I have to do this. I can't have distractions and ever since you proposed, Jonathan can't be in the same room with you without Eli wanting to take over and rip you to shreds. I tell Jonathan and he will either forbid me from going, which won't stop me or he'll insist upon coming as well. The two of you put into the confines of a tiny aircraft is just not a good idea. I know I have super healing but I seriously prefer not to test it in a plane crash."

Gideon chuckled, "I've survived two plane crash myself. One was on fire, luckily we crashed over enemy lines and a scouting party came to check for survivors."

"Un huh. Well three times might be a charm and I don't want to be there if it happens. I hate roller coasters so you know I'm going to die from freaking out if the plane goes down while ya'll are fighting," Tracy said watching as the Omegas finished their practice, "Alright everybody that's it for today, time for dinner."

Roger had always been a farmer at heart. He was able to supply the Omegas with herbs and wolfsbane they used as weapons. From reading some of the historical recounts of Queen Ivory's rule, he knew that she had put a curse on the soil so that nothing would grow near any pack or coven's ground. So the herbs for healing and potions were in short supply. To win a war of such magnitude they would need the help of all supernaturals that did not join the evil witch's alliance. It was better to be safe than sorry.

He hoped that nothing would come of this but the unease in his gut refused to lessen. If Ivory White still lived or has found a way to pass on her powers then it was imperative that supplies were gathered and stored. The White War had lasted for a decade, he was nowhere near ready, and he hoped that his granddaughter was prepared for what was to come.

Roger was cleaning the carburetor on the tractor when Aisling, a temporal Sprite that can manipulate the mind, useful in case someone accidentally catches a glimpse of one of their kind, came flying in to request his presence. The queen wished to see him on urgent business.

Not having a choice picking up his phone he called Laura.

"Hello?"

"Laura, I need to leave right now. The Sprite Queen has summoned me."

"Oh that's fine Roger. Jordan is with me."

"Alright. He should stay or you should go with him until I get back. We don't know who broke in and that tracker the Alpha sent couldn't pick up a scent or trail. Whoever broke in was definitely well trained and that makes me nervous."
