The warm day was not oppressively hot or humid thankfully. A lovely cooling breeze drift over the field. The tournament grounds, used for challenges and competitions was relatively quiet. The Omegas stood together on one side of the field. Jonathan agreed that the Omegas could challenge or be challenged by whomever they wished. They could also decline but that would be counted as a defeat.
The bleachers were packed full. Public opinion was mixed and the bets were on, "unofficially" of course. The Omegas would either prove themselves worthy or they would fail and thus embarrass the Luna. Some were worried about the outcome, others looked on with glee.
Tracy and Carla stood with their Omegas. As Jonathan came out to the podium above the field.
"My Luna and Beta Trainer have been working with some of our pack, the Omegas..."
Boos sounded throughout the field. Jonathan continued, "They have been trained to fight. To make it fair. The Omegas choose the forms to fight in such as human, wolf, or both. They are allowed to wear their own armor and are able to use non projectile weapons. Spears are allowed and so are throwing knives. Firearms and arrows are not. They can challenge and be challenged by anyone. Their challengers are also allowed to wear armor and use weapons with the same restrictions. Shifting is optional but allowed as long as the Omegas have stated the forms before hand. None of these fights are to the death. If someone dies and it is determined to be non accidental the other party will be arrested and tried as a murderer." The crowd murmured low.
"Omegas." Jonathan looked at their group and raised a hand in a sweeping gesture, "The field is yours."
Lenny stepped forward, "Alpha Mason, I would like to challenge Brian Days for the right to claim his sister as my mate."
Jonathan leaned forward and looked at where the Days family sat in the bleachers, "It is forbidden by Werewolf Law to withhold mates from other each."

"Sir!" Lenny called, "I would like the opportunity to prove that I will be a fit mate for Alyssia."
He looked towards to blonde soft eyed girl that smiled proudly at him.
"Very well. Brian Days? Do you accept the challenge?"
"I DO. I'll pound that runt into the ground." Brian Days shouted.
"Regardless of the outcome to challenge the mate bond you will have to take it up with the high council. As Alpha, Leonardo Hanks has the right to claim his mate." Jonathan said sternly.
Brian snarled briefly before bowing his head in submission, "Yes, Alpha."
