There was a lot of inner battle taking place in Lucius' mind. There was so much going on in his life lately that he could not understand if he was the one playing the game or he was just being a pawn of someone else's game.

How the damnation did the young witch saved herself from his spell? The spell he used to bind her magic was one of the ancient and powerful one that only seasoned sorcerers could use, not to forget that it was almost not viable to avoid such lethal attack so effortlessly.

Moreover, his father had to arrive there and offer his hand in matrimony. He could understand his father's move though; seeing how Madonna absorbed his power as if it was nothing, he wanted her to be on their side when the time comes to wage a war against Orla.

He wanted Madonna to be their secret weapon but Lucius did not want the same. He wanted nothing to do with the woman who left no stone to infuriate him. Her alluring beauty was totally another issue. It was as if he was contradicting himself when one moment he finds an invisible knot tied between then while the other moment, he wanted nothing more than to strangle her.

It was his first time feeling so attracted to a woman in such a way as if something very strong was pulling them to each other.

Lucius steps faltered as he removed his shirt and pants and threw them over to a hanger. He swiftly pulled a dark cloak and wore it as he sat before a fire which was glowing in a huge star pattern on the ground.

He closed his eyes and muttered chants of spells as he poured a light green potion in to the fire. Opening his eyes, he glanced at the basket where all the ingredients were arranged in it.

As the fire blazed and danced higher, his hand found its way to the basket and picked up dead man's toes as he dropped it in to the fire. He continued to chant as he dropped Lemon jest, coffin nails and Cactus into the fire in a cadenced practice.

Once the fire reached the top of the roof, Lucius glared at the fire with intent, "I summon you, Mortas." He called out loudly as he sprinkled powder of wishbone.

"Mortas, I summon you. I call you for the knowledge only you can provide me with. Come, Mortas." He called out loudly as he gripped a knife tightly and slashed his palm, squeezing the blood into the fire in front of him.

As he squeezed his blood, the fire blazed wildly as it shaped into what looked like a man's face with horns on either side of the head.

"Greetings, My Lord. What made the invincible Sorcerer to seek my guidance?" A voice came out as the man formed by the fire spoke.

Lucius's eyes glazed, "You are the person of Prophecy, a tome of knowledge; I would like to seek answers to few of my questions which seems to puzzle me in the recent days." Lucius said as he stood and took a step back from the vast fire.

Mortas laughed out in amusement as the sound of the laughter resonated in the little cave the ritual was being performed. "Lord Lucius Emor, what might it be that you summoned me for the assistance? Do you not know more about the clairvoyant clans and their people more than I do?" Mortas question was not of assurance but of a test.

Mortas, a person of prophecy and a book where the past, present and the prediction of future was recorded, was considered more or less like a deity by all the otherworldly clans. He knows nearly everything and has a record of the events in his reserve.

Mortas was not an easy seer to be summoned nor was he a very undeviating person. The question that Lucius Emor has summoned him for his assistance was just so amusing yet saddening to him.

"No other person knows more than you do. I am quite in a fix right now, Mortas. There was just so much happening that I could hardly take a guess who was the prey and who was the predator. I do agree with being great when it comes to otherworldly abilities except, to use them I need to know the answers to many of my puzzles." Lucius expressed truthfully as his head was getting muddled with the uncertainty.
