I fucking hate airplanes. They are just big boxes designed to fight gravity and ultimately fail, so you die a horrible death. Yeah, fuck airplanes. The only thing making this more bearable was Romeos head resting on my shoulder, while he had the best nights sleep of his life apparently. He looked so peaceful and I couldn't believe, how lucky I was to finally call this beautiful creature by my side my husband.
Thats right, we got married. Actually two days ago, can you believe that? After everything that happened, we took our time to find happiness within ourselves and each other. At first, everything was great, but then, in the summer after the trial, Romeo and Cody graduated, which sucked ass. Not that I wasn't happy for them, but college, you know. Romeo actually got into NYU, which was amazing, but also meant we didn't see each other a lot over the course of that year.
But I actually think it helped our relationship grow a lot and you won't believe my luck, when I tell you, that I got accepted into NYU one year later with a full football scholarship! I loved football with all my heart and Romeo got into creative writing, which really suits him. At first, I was pretty set on football, but I attended one of Romeos creative writing courses with him and I actually found my passion in that as well. Well more in screenwriting, but yeah.
I started to write about meaningless stuff and finally, I actually had the courage to write about my own experiences and let me tell you, those pieces turned out great. Romeo loved to share all of this with me and he wasn't mad, that I took his passion on as well. So thats how we spend our years in college. We wrote, we spend time together, cuddled, fucked, and just had a normal life. When Romeo finished one year before me, he actually got a job at a publisher in New York and we moved into an apartment together. All the while, Cody was off at College at Columbia, studying law.
And after my graduation party, when we visited home, he took me to the drive-in, where he proposed. It was so fucking cute, I could have died. I actually proposed to him too a week later, when we moved into our new apartment in New York. Not a year later, we got hitched in Pine Hill. I mean, we got married two days ago and now we were on our way to our honeymoon! Romeos parents got us this as a wedding present, besides letting us throw the ceremony and the reception in their big garden, which was way too kind.
We both knew, we were going to South Africa, but more Heather and Jim wouldn't reveal to us yet. I was so excited and I honestly don't know, how Romeo could sleep right now, but I was glad he did. Since the wedding, it had been hard to control my urges around him, because all I wanted to do, was have him pin me down and fuck me and... great I am getting a boner on a plane. Think of other stuff Blake, god damn it!
The wedding was honestly better than I could have ever imagined. I always found it funny, when girls talked about their 'dream wedding', but now I know that such a thing exists, although I would have married Romeo in a literal dump. I wasn't too wrapped up in the whole planning thing, because that just wasn't me and Romeo also didn't have too many opinions on it, so we basically gave it into the hands of my mother, Heather, Jim and Luke. Yes Luke and Jim specifically wanted to plan our wedding and they did a great job, except they fought a lot about flowers and shit and wanted me and Romeo to pick sides, which we definitely didn't do.
It was a simple, but sweet ceremony. Our families, friends and some more came and it was great. The hardest part was about the giving away shit, because my father, who actually signed the divorce papers and we never heard from him again, wouldn't do it as he didn't come. Jim offered, but I declined. I had to decide between my brother and my mom and in the end decided for her, as, yes Cody tried to fill in the father-figure and I loved him with all my heart, but mom worked her ass of and divorced the father of her kids for my sake. She was my hero and she gave me away on my wedding day.
