Ch.40

Ryder's POV

I was woken up by someone shaking me. My eyes open and immediately close again due to the bright lights. I let out a groan and try going back to sleep.

"Ryder come on everyone is here we are gonna go to the cafeteria and get something to eat then hopefully by the time we come back it will be time to go see her" Daniel says

Sitting up I give him a slight nod. My neck is killing me because of that stupid chair it was the most uncomfortable thing ever but worth it.

"How you feeling Ryder" Xander comes up to me rubbing his neck

"I don't know what to feel right now if I'm being honest" I say looking at my shoes as we walk

"That's fine, after what happened I can understand it" he says looking at me

"You know it's still hard to believe you guys are cousins and HATE each other" Alex says laughing

"We don't hate each other we talked yesterday about the situation and we're good" I say nodding

"Really?" We asks surprised and we both nod at him "that's great now we can all hang out without it being awkward after this whole thing blows over"

"If it blows over" letting out a sigh "we don't know when she'll wake up that's on her"

"Ryder listen to me we all know Lyrical is a strong girl she took care of Jax when getting abused everyday got bullied and all this other shit and is still here... nothing is gonna take her down she isn't going out that easy" Alex explains and it actually gave me hope

I give him a faint smile. I call Jax over to see how he is doing. Trudging over to me he sighs "what"

"It's gonna be okay Jax I promise" I say to him rubbing his back

"My sister is in the hospital because of our crazy mom again... but this time it's worse why can't she just leave us alone" he says beginning to cry

"Jax your mom is not going to hurt you guys anymore she's gonna go away for a long time" I reassure him he nods wiping his eyes "now what do you want to eat after this we will go see your sister"

We all pick out our food, pay and go sit down in one of the booths but we had to split up into 4 booths but I sat with Jax Xander Justin and Jenna. We made small talk but not too much I'm pretty sure we all just wanted to see how she was doing.

"You guys ready?" Rachael Asks coming over to us we nod getting up and walking out of the cafeteria. We wait as Daniel and Rachael go to the receptionist desk to see where she is.

"Okay room 3o5 3rd floor" he says walking back us. We go into the elevator and my heart starts pounding and I get nervous by the second.

Everyone goes in and I seem to be glued to the floor as I take deep breathes. I just don't want to see her in any type of bad position or hurt badly.

"Ryder aren't you gonna come inside?" honesty asks looking back at me

"Um I uh I just can't see her hurt because of Me" I say sitting down on the nearest chair she sits next to me

"Ryder this isn't your fault and if Lyrical was awake right now she would let you know that it wasn't your fault you know after you explain yourself" she gives a slight chuckle

"No she wouldn't but you know what's even worse?" I ask and she nods for me to continue "I really like her like actually like her and now I won't get a chance because I was being a dumbass"

"Okay let me ask you this... what made you realize that you liked her?" She asks

I think for a moment "I knew for a while that I felt this way but I was afraid to admit it.. but after this whole thing I can't let this chance get away"
