{keep steady}

Five weeks remained until the crime syndicate banquet... and Namjoon knew exactly what that meant.

As the leader of Bangtan it was him who always received the invite to the banquet, and he knew that if it were going to be delivered anywhere, it would most likely be back at the old mansion. So that's why he was here, Seokjin and Hoseok by his side as they stood before their old base.

Namjoon let out a troublesome sigh before regaining his composure, holding himself tall as he made his way past the old metal fence and through the front garden. He couldn't help but cringe at how the grass grew long and unkept around the path, leaves crunching underfoot as he made his way up to the front door. He paused, waiting for both Seokjin and Hoseok to catch up before drawing in a breath and stepping inside.

The group collectively froze, eyes drifting around the foyer. The windows were gaping holes for the wind to rush in, and out through the door, hung on its hinges at a jaunty angle... although now it was really just a frame. The polished marble was slightly muddy and water dripped lazily from the window frames, rolling down the now cracked paint. Spiders scurried in dark corners, their old webs flapping in dusty silence, clinging to the wall with their ghostly fingers. And it seemed Seokjin may've gotten a little too frightened by one of the creatures, shrieking as he stumbled back, only to be reassured as Namjoon caught him and kept him steady, wrapping a warm hand around the male's waist.

Watching from the side, Hoseok rolled his eyes, "Don't get all romantic on me again, we're here for business remember?"

Namjoon let out a low chuckle, "Sure, sure..." he uttered, smirking as he gave Seokjin's waist one final squeeze.

The male found himself almost flustering before he pulled himself away, straightening himself up before focusing back on the task at hand. His expression fell, eyes softening as he followed Hoseok forwards, "Funny how three weeks can make so much difference."

From behind the pair, Namjoon brushed his hands over the railing of the staircase, the golden shine now clouded as he rubbed his dusty fingers together, "This'll need some serious work later."

"Don't remind me." Seokjin groaned, his head lolling to one side as he turned back to face Namjoon, "Do you have any idea where they might've left the invite?" his lips fell into a thin line, "It wasn't in the mail box."

Jutting his hip out to one side, Namjoon brought his fingers to his chin as he pondered. Every year he'd been handed the invite at the door by someone directly involved in the crime syndicate... but there was no way that could happen this year. Not a chance. So how would they-

Namjoon's eyes momentarily went wide as he snapped his fingers, "Check the wall." He suggested, earning a confused glance from Seokjin, "Maybe they left the message in the same way they left Hoseok's?"

From across the room, Hoseok's eyes lit up, "That would make sense." he said, quickly making his way across the foyer to the far wall. He had to brush a cobweb out of the way before his eyes settled on the writing on the concrete, gaze trailing down to a new message written underneath it in slightly duller ink, "Here." he spoke up, gesturing for the pair to come to his side. Namjoon and Seokjin were quick to make their way over, leaning over Hoseok's shoulders as they narrowed their eyes.

Hoseok pursed his lips, "It's a link."

Seokjin placed his hands against his hips, "To...?"

"I'm on it." Hoseok spoke up, his confidence strong as he sat down against the polished marble flooring, slipping out his computer from his bag. He was quick to place the device in his lap, flipping open the screen. The screen illuminated his focused expression as his eyes flickered across the tabs on screen.

He earnt an eye roll from Seokjin, "Trust you to bring a computer along."

"Gets things done faster." Hoseok replied bluntly, feverishly typing away at his keyboard as he entered the link. Seokjin was surprised that Hoseok didn't have to look twice at the link, memorising it in one take.

Hoseok bit down against the inside of his cheek as his eyes focused on the tab, "Loading... and... here!" he grinned, but his smile soon faltered as he leaned forwards, eyes flickering over the words, "Delgracy hall?" he scratched his head, "That's a little way out of the city..."

"They probably wanna keep it under ropes this time." Namjoon interrupted, slipping his hands into the pockets of his jeans.

Hoseok gave a nod in acknowledgement before spinning the computer in his lap, letting the other two males look at the screen. "Here's the layout." he said, looking side on as his eyes roamed over the floor plan, and he began to mutter under his breath, "Please work with the plan, please work with the plan, please work with the plan- YES!" He chirped, zooming in on a particular image, "There's a stage, and the beams hang right overhead!" His smile was bright, radiating the positivity the group really needed at this stage, "This is perfect!"

The plan they had worked so hard on was slowly coming together. The stage was at one end of the hall whilst the lighting beams hung right overhead, giving the group a perfect shot at the Jeon's boss man. Hoseok almost felt giddy, for once he felt confident that their plan against the Jeons would actually work, that maybe, just maybe he'd get his revenge and they'd all be free of the crime syndicate's rein of terror. But something deep inside told him that things were going almost a little too smoothly...

Namjoon ran a hand through his overly bleached hair, letting out a huff as he let himself drop to a seated position on the floor. He rested his elbow against his knee, leaning his head into the palm of his hand as his eyes grew tired. Seokjin couldn't help but fall uneasy at the sight of Namjoon so overworked, he was holding his head high when he was in fact the one with the most pressure on his shoulders.

Namjoon reached forwards, placing his lengthy fingers against the mouse pad as he navigated through the digital layout of the dinning hall, "But now comes the hard work..." he sighed, brows knitted, "how are we going to sneak everyone around?" He spoke up, focusing on one section of the map, "Guards will most likely be here, and here." he pointed out, letting his fingers slide off the computer, "It'll take a lot of effort to sneak Yoongi up past the stage."

Taking a seat beside Namjoon, Seokjin proceeded to speak, "We should discuss this with Daisy, maybe she'll have some ideas?" He suggested, placing a comforting hand against Namjoon's knee.

Hoseok turned the computer back to himself, his positivity all but lost with Namjoon's troubled state. It was only natural, after all, they couldn't let their guards down... not yet. So Hoseok shut off his computer, slowly standing back to his feet.

"I agree."
