Recap: (Y/n) and Roman fought, leaving the male feeling guilty.

As soon as (Y/n) spotted a certain blonde haired prince, she picked up her pace.

Just a little bit farther. She prayed that the male wouldn't see her.

"(Y/n) dear is that you?"

(Y/n) sighed and turned around facing the man. She forced a smile.

"Hey, Prince Kion," she replied.

"There's no need for formalities, just Kion will do. Unless of course you would rather call me dadd--" he was cut off by the (h/c) haired girl.

"Yeah I'll stick with Kion," she rushed out. Kion chuckled. It really was too fun teasing the female.

"Anyway," the male said putting his arm around (Y/n)'s shoulders. "I was thinnking about taking a romantic stroll in the garden, and who better to join me than you?"

(Y/N) huffed in annoyance. "Do I even have a choice?" she muttered causing Kion's smile to widen.

"Wow, both beauty and brains. You really are too much (Y/n)." The male took her hand in his and began walking towards the garden.

(Y/n) had seen the garden before, but only from the windows in the library. The weather had been getting warmer, so the (h/c) haired girl would often open the windows when she cleaned. It not only let in the fresh air but also provided a great view.

Now, seeing the flowers up close, even (Y/n) had to admit they were beautiful. The male continued to drag her along until they reached a small grassy area. Kion took a seat on the ground and beckoned (Y/n) to do the same. She sat down and noticed two canvases and a bucket of paint tubes laying in the grass.

"What's this?" she asked pointing at the art supplies.

Kion smiled. "Well I thought that we could do a little bit of painting, ya know to set the mood."

If Kion knew anything about women it was that they loved romantic gestures. Just the two of them, painting alone in the garden was sure to swoon (Y/n). He was sure of it. He had planned everything. After today, he would finally be able to forget about the strange girl. He would finally win her little game.

"Well let's get this over with I guess," (Y/n) said.

Kion handed (Y/n) a canvas. "Do you know how to paint?"

(Y/n) paused then shook her head. Kion's eyes lit up. Perfect.

"Let me show you then," he responded.

The blonde haired man took out a pallet adding around five different colors to it. He grabbed two brushed one thin and one thick. He sat behind (Y/n).

"What are you doing?" she asked?

"I'm going to show you how to paint."

Kion was very close to (Y/n) making her slightly uncomfortable. She wondered if he was going to try something, but to her relief he just handed her a brush. He gently closed his hand around her own.

"First we are going to do a background color. Do you have one in mind?" he whispered in her ear.

"Green?" she said, but it came out more like a question. She watched him guide her hand to the green paint, dipping it in the liquid.

"Painting is just like drawing or writing. You just move your hand up and down," he motioned with his free hand. His other guided hers, leaving a trail of light green color on the canvas.

"Okay, I think I've got it," (Y/n) said turning her head towards the male with a genuine smile. Their faces were very close, so close that he could feel her breathe on his face. Kion blushed. It was the first time that he had seen her smile so brightly. He wished she would do it more often.

Kion reluctantly moved so that he was sitting across from the (h/c) haired girl. Her eyes stayed focused on the canvas, not once looking towards the male. Soon enough, Kion relaxed into a similarly focused state. His hands moved on their own. He always loved the feeling of painting; It was like a high to him. Nothing ever mattered when a brush was in his hand. It was only him and the canvas.

"Done," (Y/n) called out after some time. She was relieved to have finished her painting. It wasn't good, but the girl didn't expect it to be. Her eyes wondered to Kion. He looked so different when he painted. He looked better without all the smirks and half smiles. He looked more genuine. She continued to stare at the male, and he looked up.

"Enjoying the view?" he teased. (Y/n) scoffed at his statement.

"Are you done?" she asked.

"Yeah, are you?"

(Y/n) hummed in response.

Kion glanced at his painting. It showed a man and a woman kissing. It was sure to put (Y/n) in the mood. He knew she would love it. He knew she would look at it and fall for him. 'It's beautiful' he imagined her saying.

Kion turned the canvas towards (Y/n) allowing her to get a good look at it.

"I call it Love," he said proudly.

(Y/n)'s eyes swept across the painting. It was nearly perfect. The figures were perfectly shaped, and their bodies perfectly replicated a lover's kiss. However, there was something else about the painting that (Y/n) couldn't help but notice.

"It looks...sad," (Y/n) said, catching the blonde off guard.

"What do you mean sad? It's a painting about love," he replied.

While the action happening in the painting was indeed intimate, (Y/n) couldn't help but notice that the two people seemed robotic and emotionless.

"The people," she said. "They're so cold. There is no feeling, no emotion."

Kion furrowed his brows. But they're kissing, isn't that love?

(Y/n) noticed the blonde male's confusion. "Love isn't an action, it's a feeling." She leaned over to the man, and put her hand over his heart. "You feel it right here."

Kion's heart sped up. Thump. (Y/n)'s eyes were focused on him. Thump, Thump. Her lips were pulled into a sweet smile. Thump, Thump, Thump. Her hand sat on his chest making him feel warm and fuzzy.

Is this love? he asked himself. His heart was beating a mile a minute, and he didn't want it to slow down. This girl, she was different. She was kind. She was beautiful. How had he not noticed it before?

(Y/n) took her hand off his chest and reached over towards her painting. With an embarrassed smile, she turned it around. On the canvas were a bunch of sloppy shapes that looked sort of like flowers.

A soft chuckle left Kion's lips.

"Hey!" (Y/n) exclaimed. "I know it's bad but you don't have to laugh."

Kion calmed down. "I'm not laughing because it's bad, but because it's the most real and authentic piece of art I've ever seen. It's stunning," he finished, reaching over and wiping a spot of paint off of the girls cheek.

(Y/n) blushed. She knew he was just trying to make her feel better, and it mostly worked.

Kion noticed her flushed face, the color perfectly matching the rose bush behind her.

"It really is perfect, my sweet rose," he said, the nickname slipping from his lips.

"Sweet rose?" (Y/n) questioned.

Kion laughed. It was a deep laugh that lit up his face. (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh too. Soon enough the two were doubled over, clutching their stomachs.

"Why are we even laughing?" (Y/n) asked catching her breathe.

"I don't know," Kion replied. He wasn't sure why, but he knew he didn't want to stop anytime soon.
