Recap: Liam and the twins find out Lily is gone. They hide out in the forest outside of the city.

(Y/n) opened her eyes. A sharp pain in her head made her groan. Multiple pairs of footsteps reached her ears.

"(Y/n)!" the three princes said at the same time.

Leo took a hold of her hand. "I'm so glad you're awake."

(Y/n) yanked her hand out of his. Her lip quivered, and she began sobbing uncontrollably.

"I thought you said she wasn't in pain," Roman yelled at the doctor.

Doctor Bess shook his head. "I numbed the skin, she shouldn't feel a thing."

It was then that (Y/n) looked down at her injured arm. There were neat stitches down about half of the wound. Doctor Bess was working on the other half.

"Then why is she crying?" Roman retorted.

"She's probably just overwhelmed."

Kion turned to (Y/n). "Is that true (Y/n)?"

She didn't respond, which only made him more concerned.

"Hey Leo, pass me the water and bread."

Leo handed the blond the cup of water and the slice of bread.

"Here, try it, (Y/n)," he said softly.

Even with his gentle tone, Kion was only met with (Y/n)'s terrified silence. A dark look washed over his face as he stormed out of the room.

Ellis sat in the meeting room, listening to the officials bicker back and forth. This wasn't an unusual ordeal, just an annoying one. And Ellis was certainly not in the mood to dispute kingdom politics, especially with a certain (h/c) haired female on his mind.

He raised his hand silencing everyone in the room.

"Lord Caine," he spoke with authority.

"Yes my king," the Lord responded.

"Cancel the Autumn's Eve festival."

A look of shock passed over the elderly official's face. "But my King, this event--"

Ellis cut him off. "It is unnecessary, especially with the current drought. We should be saving our resources instead of spending them so frivolously."

The official's face turned a bright red. He turned his head away in embarrassment. But it seemed the discussion wasn't over. Lord Caine's son, Jamie, spoke up.

"But, my king, the public is already in outrage with the murder of the late king, wouldn't the cancellation of the event make them more angry?"

Ellis' eyes narrowed. "Hold your tongue boy. I have no intention of partying while my kingdom goes into starvation. Besides, I have already found the late king's murderer, and they will be punished for their crimes."

Whispers spread across the table. The officials held mixed emotions: some of relief and some of doubt. But nobody dared to speak up in opposition.

"There is one more matter we need to discuss with you, my king," a voice spoke up. Ellis looked towards the official with distaste. It was Lord Shanehip. The man had one of the worst reputations in the castle; he was known to be greedy and untrustworthy.

"And what is that Lord Shanehip?"

"The people are uneasy, seeing as you haven't taken a wife yet. I think it would be to the best of this kingdom for you to wed soon, to continue the bloodline."
