Chapter 2. Consequences

Still hazy and tipsy Wangji was still unable to make out what was going around at that very moment. All he could think off was how tired he was and that he needs to get up early the next morning for his rehearsals.

Wen Ning on the other hand was worried and restlessly walking from one corner of the apartment to the other one, he was constantly on his cellphone talking to different people.

"This is Wen Ning, Yes! I do understand your point of view. Yes! He went out for drinks with his friends..... But, I'm telling you no one got hurt....."

It was hard for Wangji to understand the entire situation since Wen Ning refused to answer him in a very strict manner. After spending about an hour on the phone he ended the call. Wangji could tell that his manager was very angry, his doubt was confirmed when Wen Ning threw his phone across the room and cursed out loud.

"Fucking hell..... Wangji. You are doomed... No we are doomed... You idiotic stupid brother of mine. What did you do Wangji? How could you let this happen. Everything is going to end like this, why did you do that?"

"Ge! Ning Ge! Can you please tell me what is going and what exactly did i do wrong?".

With a blank face Wangji looked at his brother which practically added fuel to fire, getting Wen Ning more hyper than he was before.

"You are on every fucking news channel you ass. You are being accused of doing drugs, drinking and drunk driving and what not. Snap out of your slumber princess, your world is about to fall down....". Wen Ning snapped at Wangji almost grabbing him from his collar and shaking him.

It took some time for Wangji to process all what his manager just said.

" What? ". He yelled, standing up from his sofa, almost knocking the coffee table off. But Lan was too worried to even care at that very moment.

"Ge! I would never, I never had!!! I hate drugs!!!!, And you know that Ge.. Why would they say something like that? I'm not like others, I'm always looking out to avoid such things then what went wrong..". It was very obvious to Wen Ning that the younger was about to go into an emotional shock. His eyes were wide and blood shot because of the tears he was holding onto.

" I know you. And that's what got me more mad at you. Lan Wangji, the one who's always careful about a single step made a terrible mistake.". Wen Ning directed towards his little brother trying to comfort him.

"Ge!!!!! Do something. This can't be happening. Please Ge do something!!!!" Wangji was on the verge of a breakdown, begging his manager to do something. After all his whole life was at stake. He knew that people started finding faults in him, not only will his career end but his life will as well.

"Wangji.... What do you think I have been doing for the last couple of hours. But I can't find a solution. Even if we say you are innocent they'll drag you to a police station to get you tested, and considering you were out drinking, it will be against you. On top of that.... ". Wen Ning stopped halfway, lowering his head in a disappointing way.

" What Ge!!! Tell me, On top of that... What. Ge tell me!!! " His voice was hysterical

" They have pictures of you getting in a car with smoke all around you. And in those pictures you were standing with a guy in an intimate way. ..." Wen Ning said it all, when he didn't even want to believe it himself, with his hand turned into fists looking for something to hit.

" Ge...... I.... I..... ". Wangji fell on his knees.
" I didn't... I couldn't.... It's... It's... a.... lie" Wangji was in denial himself.

The room went silent, too silent that it'd scare a normal person when suddenly Wen Nings cellphone rang.
