Chapter 23: Sean

Xian was never interested in taking over the business, especially after Yao died, all of his desires died with his brother. The next day of when Yao died and they were still in the hospital to collect Yao’s body, when Xian saw him and decided to end his life with his brother, he tried to jump off the building but was caught by his father’s guards.

Xian’s attempts of killing himself went on for an entire week until his brother’s memorial services were done and Mr. Wei decided to move to states with his family, it was at his brother memorial services when Xian sneaked out, he had a pocket knife on him when he sat outside the memorial house.

He was in staring at his hands, crying and gathering up the courage to kill himself but was stopped by a boy who hugged him.

After that encounter Xian’s life changed completely, Xian stopped laughing or playing, he busied himself with his studies. He wanted to become an athlete like his brother but alas! His body didn’t allow him, on second thoughts he decided to pursue Law as his mother wished.

Jiang Chang came to states with Wei family, as his father and Mr. Wei were best of friends he allowed his son to tag along with Xian, who looked broken and devastated. It took Xian 5 years to get rid of his nightmares and God knows how many appointments with a psychiatrist just to start living.

He feel in love with the guy who stopped him from killing himself, but only after when he started liking to live did he opened about his love in front of Yanli and Chang who honestly supported him and motivated him to follow his heart. Now that Xian had finally had everything going as he wanted this business issue came over crashing him.

Xian knew it better than anyone else that coming back to states and taking over the business is nothing but signing his own death certificate, Mr. Wei had many enemies that were defeated by Mr. Wei in business and now they have a new enemy named Wei WuXian, nothing less than Mr. Wei in fact Xian was known for being much intelligent and sneaky in states, here Xian was nothing like the way he was in China or in front of his family.

The death of Yao, converted that silly boy into a devil, Chang is the only one among his closest ones to know the reality of Xian, so he named him “THE DEVIL IN DESGUISE” and to add fuel to the fire his step-mother was always there to remind him that he killed his brother.

Many people doubted; who the devil was but whoever dared to tell this to Mr. Wei, he’d always think that they all want to name shame Xian who was a good boy but little did Mr. Wei knew that Xian was the one doing all the dirty works behind his back and stopping anyone who came in his father’s way.

The only thing that was keeping Xian sane was his love for WangJi, his jiejie and lastly his father. But, if anyone who’d touch these three and Chang, Xian could easily go berserk, he actually wanted to kill Wen Chao but it wouldn’t clear his lovers name so he played it neat, his neat was no doubt dirty in many eyes, as he practically played Wen Chao but who cares anyway.

Xian was the purest soul in his loved one’s eye but he was a devil in reality; he had been successful in keeping his family in the dark, using his innocent looks. And now when WangJi confessed Xian had no reason to stay evil but his father dragged him back in the hell Xian created himself.

During his entire flight he kept thinking about his boyfriend but another thought blurred his sanity.

“Who the fuck wanted to harm him, was it Wen Chao, I should’ve just killed that bastard. But, he’s in jail then who in the fucking hell is pulling the strings.” Xian kept thinking, recalling the names of everyone he knows off.

Every single time when Xian’d do something inhumane, or evil he’ll have his brother and his mother in his dreams telling him that he was wrong, but Xian would always say that they have to be a little patient.
