*Starfire's Pov*
'Wow! Starling is so cute~' I thought as I twirled in front of the mirror.
When I got here yesterday, I didn't bother to check my new appearance since I was more focused on the mission and packing. However, as I went to brush my teeth after my well-deserved rest, I happened to catch a glance of my appearance in the bathroom mirror, which led to the present situation: standing before the mirror, admiring my new body.
[You seem to like your new appearance a lot.]
'Of course! I look the same as my past life, except for my lighter hair and eye colour.'
'And maybe also the longer hair length since it reaches my lower back now.' I mused, trailing my hand over my hair before smiling. 'But I am still so cute~'
[You sound narcissistic.]
'Really? I didn't notice.' I laughed, starting to brush my teeth.
It rolled its eyes, [Of course you didn't.]
I couldn't stop my smile from growing in amusement as I continued brushing my teeth.
[Whatever. Bye for now, host.]
'Bye? What do you mean by that?'
[... Aren't you going to dress up and get ready for the day? I'm just going to leave temporarily till you're done.]
I nodded, 'Mhm, good. I was wondering how that would work since you're in my mind. You're just a system though, so it shouldn't matter to you, does it?'
[...]
There was a short silence before it sighed. [Just because I am a system or even just a shadow to you doesn't mean-] It stopped itself and simply answered [It does matter. Bye host]
'Mhm? Were you angry I called you a system?'
It didn't answer. I guess it was already gone.
I scratched the back of my neck, wondering why it affected Little que so much before shrugging. 'I need to continue preparing if I am to leave by next week.'
I finished getting ready and went back into my room.
"Ok, time to pack." I stretched before I continued packing. I made sure to pack enough clothes for at least 4 months, some hair products, cream, books, etc.
Since students could choose not to wear the school uniform if they were rich enough, I decided to just wear my casual clothes. Now, all I need is my credit card and bag.
'Ah... but I would need more money than what I have now.'
Starling didn't like asking her parents for a lot of money, nor did she really use it, so she only had around 10,500 dollars on her card.
'Mhm, I will need more than that for what I have planned.' I thought and went to the living room where Mom was sitting.
"Mom, how are you?" I greeted her as I went to her side.
"I am good, Star." She answered, pulling me into a hug.
Star was a nickname Starling's parents gave her, which is good since we both have Star in our names. I suppose the system thought this through, giving me a similar body and name to my original life. An appropriate beginner world.
'Makes it easier to adapt to this,' I thought as I hugged her back.
"What do you want to eat?" She asked, releasing me from the hug.
