MERIELLE'S POV

"So... it was Solomon all along?" Mammon asked as Solomon stepped inside my room.

"You're the only one who had not figured it out," Belphie said, disappointed.

"Thank you for agreeing to help me, Solomon," I said as I let him in.

     "Not a problem," Solomon said.

"How is he gonna help?" Mammon asked.

"With this," Solomon said as he held out a flower.

The flower is sparkling red, it's stem in the color of bronze, and lets out a sweet aroma that envelopes the whole room.

"What exactly is that?" Belphie asked.

"This is a special flower that is found in the west forest of Devildom," Solomon explained. "Merielle just has to hold the flower firmly on her hands and think of a certain memory. After that, she must blow the flower. The flower's petals will come off the stem, and its golden pollen will fly away with it to form the memory. If someone is involved, that person will be in the form of red dust. It will be like a shadow, her silhouette is visible, but her other features such as her face will not be seen. The surroundings of the memory will be different, though. That would be visible and the sound can be clearly heard.

"That is perfect, Solomon!" I said.

"Care to enlighten us to what you're planning Merielle?" Solomon asked as he handed me the flower.

I smiled at everyone. "Simple! I will use this flower, think of a memory that involves Asmo and me. Everything else will fall down to place. I just have to choose the right memory."

"But you don't have any memory of Asmo except what you can remember when you came here. You can't remember anything that happened with you and Asmo on your first year here," Beel said.

"And I am sure that you have a lot of treasured memories with Asmo on your first year here," Levi said.

"And I have a solution for that," Solomon said as he pulled a small, tear-shaped vial out of his pocket.

     "What is that?" Beel asked.

"It is a potion. When Merielle drinks this, she will remember a quarter of all of her treasured memories with Asmodeus for six hours. After that, she will forget what she remembers again," Solomon said.

"Make sure it is safe," Mammon said.

"I am sure it is safe, Mammon," Solomon assured him.

"Well, let's get this started, then," I said.

I handed the flower back to Solomon and he gave me the vial.

"Just drink it in one gulp," Solomon instructed.

I nodded and opened the cork of the vial. The potion is in a green color. Lime green smoke came out of the vial and unlike the flower, it gave a very unpleasant smell.

"For Asmo," I said and I took the vial to my lips and drank it in one gulp, just as Solomon said.

I felt a little bit dizzy. I dropped the vial which Solomon caught just in time. Everything around me seems to be in a swirl. I can hear voices, but they became more and more unclear until I lost my balance and fell. I saw that Mammon caught me just in time. He kept calling me by my name. I want to respond, but I can't find the strength to do it. I am feeling weaker and weaker until I closed my eyes entirely.

MAMMON'S POV

"Merielle! Merielle!" I called her until she completely closed her eyes.

What happened to her? Is this even supposed to happen? What if she never wakes up again?! I pierced a deadly gaze on Solomon.

"What did you do to her?!" I asked angrily.

"Don't worry," Solomon said calmly. "Just take her to her bed and let her sleep. She will be awake soon with a quarter of her memory with Asmo. She will be alright."

"Mammon had it bad for Merielle," Levi said.

     "No, I don't!" I denied.

But the truth is, I really do. Just thinking about her being in trouble is enough to make me worry, no matter how small it might be. I just don't know how to tell her. Who knows what she thinks of me. I just have to keep everything to myself for now until I get an assurance. I mean, that's what humans do as well, right? To make sure that they won't get hurt by the person they have their eyes on when they confess?

"I'll carry her, Mammon," Beel said and she took Merielle from my arms and laid her down to her bed and Belphie covered her with her blanket.

"How long will she be like that, huh?" I asked Solomon sharply.

"I am guessing it will be twenty to thirty minutes," Solomon said calmly.

"Your guess, huh?" I said, still feeling angry at him. "That guess of ya' better be correct. If something bad happens to Merielle-"

"You have to calm down, Mammon, You are so stressed out and worried there," Levi said.

"Yeah," Belphie said. "You have even taken on your demon form because of it."

I looked at myself and saw that Belphie is right. I sighed in defeat and changed back in my normal form, ya know, wingless and hornless. I then went to take a seat in one of the chairs here inside Merielle's room and distracted myself taking a look at the latest photo updates in Devilgram in which Asmodeus flooded.
