MERIELLE'S POV

I dragged the others in search of baby Lucifer. Levi stopped his games, Mammon stopped talking to his credit card (is he a little over the edge? Who would want to make a conversation with a credit card?), Satan stopped his reading, Asmodeus stopped his intense beautifying (not without cleansing the cream on his face off first), and Belphegor woke up from his nap. Each of us scattered around the House of Lamentation to look for the baby.

"Why is he too troublesome?" I heard Mammon asked in the distance. He must be nearby.

"Whatever! Let's just look for him already!" Levi responded.

I went up and down some stairs, went in and out of rooms, I even peeked under beds, tables, or anywhere he could be hiding in. Still, baby Lucifer is nowhere to be found. Judging by how I hear the others complaining and calling out his name, they haven't seen baby Lucifer either.

"Lucifer, where are you?!" I shouted.

No answer. No cry, no gibberish words. Nothing. The sounds inside the House of Lamentation right now would be from Lucifer's brothers who are also in search of him.

With my head hung low, a frown on my mouth, and a sad expression on my eyes, I walked the halls of the House of Lamentation with deep thought. Every small sound that I hear, I turn around, thinking it was baby Lucifer, only to find out that it is just the wind or something.

How could I be so irresponsible? Diavolo entrusted me with him! Just walking silently makes me hear Diavolo's words in my head in a very furious tone!

"How could you lose him?!" Diavolo would surely say. "Barbatos, Beelzebub, and I spent days outdoors looking for ingredients to bring him back to normal and you lost him?! How hard could it possibly be to look for an infant?!"

I shook my head at the thought. There's no way that baby Lucifer wouldn't be found! He should be around here somewhere. He must be! He should be! I just have to look harder. Also, I have to calm down.

"Don't the water grow the trees?

Don't the moon pull the tide?

Don't the stars light the sky?

Like you need to light my life"

Nothing calms me other than reading a good book when singing a song. I would rather listen to one, but I don't have the time to go back to my room to get my phone and headphones. I must continue searching for baby Lucifer... while singing to calm me down.

"If you need me anytime

You know, I'm always right by your side"

I opened a room's door, peeked, and closed it. He's still not there.

"See, I've never felt this love

You're the only thing that's on my mind"

I climbed another staircase and looked around, hoping I could get a glimpse of where he could be.

"You don't understand how much you really mean to me

I need you in my life

You're my necessity"

I opened a door and peeked. I saw the stillness and wonderful view the planetarium gave me. Just a look at everything inside is really calming. I went in and closed the door.

"But believe me that you're everything

That just makes my world complete

My love is clear, the only thing that I'll ever see"
