When the morning rolled around, it was straight back into action. After walking for almost an hour, the blond boy had led his best friend as well as the army of snakes into a large forest. Trees looked as though they went on for miles, both in distance and in height. The tops of the trees seemed to just touch the clouds, and Y/n felt very nervous at this.
It turned out that Lloyd wanted the serpentine to build a giant fortress- treehouse thingy for him, and since their leader was under the boy's control, they didn't seem to have much of a choice. A few days passed, and seeing the whole process from the start, Y/n's perspective changed a tad bit. She had to admit, it was quite extravagant. A large, 4/5 storey tree-fort had been constructed, and was supported by three tall trees.
She and Lloyd were currently on ground level, watching the serpentine as they fixed up the last few details and floors and was to be finished by tomorrow.
"Wow, that's one pretty big tree-fort." Y/n stated quietly with a gaping mouth, astounded with how quick the snake-people had managed to work. It had only been what? A few days? The tree-fort was almost completed in such a short amount of time, which made sense when you take into account how many tribe members there were.
Lloyd grinned happily saw the girl's star struck expression, as he linked his arm with hers and pulled Y/n towards a group of snakes who were going to pick up a log of wood to finish the final floor.
"Come on, let's see what it's like on the inside so far."
After being pulled up onto the log, Lloyd instructed the snake-people to carry them inside the treehouse, looking around with a pout on his face. "If I see one girl in here, I'm gonna go ballistic!" He yelled angrily, a yell which Y/n didn't appreciate all too well.
A dry and sarcastic cough resonated from the girl, as she unhooked her arm from his and crossed them over, giving the blonde a hard glare which caused him to laugh nervously and stutter, putting his arms up defensively. "Well, uh, one girl other than Y/n obviously, this treehouse fortress is just for the two of us." He muttered quickly, not wanting to be on the receiving end of her wrath. It shocked him to the core to see what the girl could be like when she was angry, even nice people had their limits, and he found that out the hard way once upon a time.
Feeling the corners of her mouth twitch upwards, it didn't take long before Y/n burst into laughter and linked arms with her best friend again as they were carried up a lift to the top floor of the treehouse. Once they had made it, the h/c haired girl ran out excitedly and went to edge, looking over the forest they were in. She froze slightly, stunned by the view.
"Holy sweets! The view...Lloyd the view from up here is amazing." Her e/c coloured eyes sparkled with amazement and delight as Y/n ran to every side of the treehouse, pulling Lloyd who just followed along with a daydream-like expression on his face. Noticing this, Y/n stopped running, and waved a hand in front of his face. Lloyd was still in some sort of trance so she and got closer to snap him out of it. A mere few centimetres from his face. "Hey, Y/n to Lloydie, you there?"
