Chapter 14

Jecho's POV

"Dad, andito na ako," I said as I sat infront of him. Nandito kami ngayon sa isang restaurant kung saan pinapunta niya ako because of some important matters daw to tackle. Minsan lang ako ipatawag ng daddy ko at ang mga times na yun asahan mo nang may pasabog na naman siyang sasabihin.

Tinupi niya ang binabasang magazine saka tumingin sakin. "Pinatawag kita because I have an announcement to make," panimula niya.

"I'm all ears dad."

"I want you to abort your mission at the Chua's," he said kaya napatigil naman ako.

"Why dad? I thought we need something from them?" I asked. Naguguluhan ako sa takbo ng isip ng aking ama.

"I have a bigger plan so that we can equally compete with them and that we can gain the 1st spot again. But still, we need that chip. Di ako papayag na hindi nakakapaghiganti. I will deal with that child. I will get the chip from her," he said. Bigla namang nag igting ang panga ko. I knew it, he is planning something more cruel. This is getting out of hand.

"But dad, I told you that I can get the chip,right? Just give me enough time. Malapit na din akong magtagumpay," I said. Di ako papayag na may madamay na inosenteng tao dahil dito. Oo nga at galit ako sa mga Chua. I want to have my revenge to them pero ayoko din na manakit ng ibang tao sa pisikal na paraan. Specially with Athena. She's too innocent to be involved in our family feud. Gaya ko nadamay rin lang siya sa problema ng pamilya namin.

"May iba ka nang dapat pagkaabalahan Jecho. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sy came back from Paris yesterday. Napag usapan na din namin ang kasal niyo. It will be a great opportunity for us to merge with their company. In that way we can defeat the Chua's. We can be on top again."

What?! He is planning to tie me up in a business marriage? This is insane!

I grip my hair in annoyance. "Look, dad, I am not into marriage yet. Saka what kind of plan is that? You want me to marry someone I don't even know? No, I will not do it," I said at akmang tatayo na.

"Ok then, I will marry whoever she is. But then can you promise me to let Athena alone? Wag na natin siyang idamay dito pwede?"

Tinignan naman ako ng ama ko ng seryoso. "You know I need the chip from her, right?"

"Let me handle it. I have my ways to get it but please, don't hurt her in any way. I promise I will help you in making the merge possible," sabi ko. Alam kong wala na din akong kawala dito. But I have to make the right move.

"Don't tell me napapalapit na ang loob mo sa batang yun? You know you can't do that. Anak siya ng sumira sa pamilya natin. Ke inosente siya o hindi she is still an enemy. I don't think you forgot about it Jecho."

"Just...just this once please, Dad? I am doing everything I can for the company. For our family. So, can you atleast do this for me?" pakiusap ko sakanya. Di ko alam bakit ayokong mapahamak si Athena. What I know is that I wanted to protect her. Even when it means I have to be away from her.

He sighed in defeat. "Okay then, that's a deal. Just be sure you will make the merge possible," he said na tinanguan ko lang. This is it. Wala ng bawian. I have to face a different path from now on.
