Jecho's POV

"Come here, sit down, " My dad said nang makarating ako sa bahay. I sat beside him. "I've seen the news," he said smiling. Di ako nagsalita nang makitang tinitignan ni dad ang pictures namin ni Maui na kumakalat na. "Jecho, madami ka ng taong ginugol sa sarili mong buhay. Oras na din para mag settle down ka. Tapos ka na siguro sa kahibangan mo sa babaeng Chua diba?"

Tumango na lang ako. "Yes dad."

"That's good then. I would rather offend a gentleman rather than a villain. If they cause troubles, it can be big or small."

"Athena won't do that," I said to my dad. "I mean, nag usap na kami. She won't be childish anymore."

Tumango naman si dad. "That's good then. Wag mo ng hayaang guluhin ka pa niya."

"I will deal with it carefully dad. Besides, I have broken up with her so I don't think there's need to talk about her anymore," I said para matapos na ang usapan. I'm really not comfortable talking about my personal life with dad. Lalo siya ang dahilan kung bakit wala na ang mga memories ko kasama si Athena.

"Okay then. Wag na nating pag usapan ang nakaraan. I care about Maui the most. When do you plan to marry her?" he asked me kaya napaayos naman ako ng upo.

"Dad. It's my own business, okay? Don't worry about it." Ayoko ng ganitong usapan. I made myself clear about this issue noon pa.

"Maui is not like any other girl Jecho. You can't deal with her easily. Since she has confessed to the press, you should settle down as soon as possible."

Pinagsalop ko ang mga daliri ko and sighs. "Dad, please."

He sighs at tumayo na. "Pagod na ako. Magpapahinga na ako sa kwarto ko." He walks to his room immediately. He is really hard to deal with.

Pagkalabas ko ng bahay nakipagkita ako kay Maui sa teashop.

"So what do you want to talk about?" she said pagkaupo niya sa harapan ko.

"I have considered your offer. And I have decided," I said at tumingin sakanya ng diretso. "The past is passed. The present is now. I don't want to be with you again just because we had something before."

"Why?" she asked seriously.

"Wala na akong nararamdaman pa para sayo, I feel sorry for it. This time,I just want to be your friend. I don't want to hurt you again."

She breathes heavily then looks at me. "Pano kung sabihin kong...di ako natatakot masaktan. Na kahit wala kang nararamdaman para sakin, okay lang. Gaya nga ng sabi mo kaibigan ako. Ibig sabihin I still have chance, doesn't it?"

"Actually, you have guessed it, right?" I asked her.

"Guessed what?"

"You know I am a businessman. Kahit anong gawin ko, my sense of reason is always bigger than my emotion. You know I need a woman to match with me. So you publish our relationship. Inisip mo na dahil dun di kita magagawang tanggihan dahil sa mga benefit na makukuha ko."

She smiled at me. "Am I wrong, Jecho?"

Umiling ako. "No. But I really don't want to use you." I said at tumayo na.

"Jecho," pigil niya sakin kaya napatigil ako sa paglakad. "Alam mo ba, all these years, I have never felt na nawala ka sakin. Dahil sa nawala na ang nararamdaman mo, I guess you owe me an explanation. You can just regard it as a chance to let me completely give up, would you like to try again with me?"

Napapikit ako sa mga sinasabi niya. "Maui," hinarap ko ulit siya. "Bat ba ang tigas ng ulo---" napatigil ako dahil bigla niya akong niyakap. Di ako nakagalaw sa higpit ng yakap niya.
