"Seattle is in a state of terror. Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances, theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live from Seattle, CNN," Carlisle turns off the TV and Bella and Edward enter the room. I look down at Jasper who seemed just as nervous as I was.
"It's getting worse, we're going to have to step in," Carlisle spoke I look down at the floor thinking when Jasper spoke up.
"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting," Jasper's voice came out stoic. I twist my ring on my finger still in thought looking up at my sister who looked at me. Her eyes meeting mine, I shook my head looking back at Jasper, "Quite a few more," His eye twitches up as if he knew exactly what this was "They're undisciplined, conspicuous,"
"Newborns," I mumble at the same time as Edward, who spoke louder than I did. I scoot off the arm of the couch closer to Jasper who looked at me taking my hand in his and looking back to Edward and Bella.
"What like new vampires?" Bella asks
"In the first few months after the change," Edward told my sister
"It's when we're at our most uncontrollable, vicious, full of thirst," Jasper's harsh gaze doesn't leave my sister who backs up her eyes adverting in thought. I squeeze his hand and he looks at me.
"Something to look forward to," Emmett comments
"No ones trained these newborns. But this isn't random," Jasper looks at Carlisle
"Someones creating an army," He acknowledges Jasper's thought process looking at all of us as Emmett pops up almost excited.
"Well, now we're definitely going to Seattle," He cracks his fingers in his palms, giving a small smirk. I snort softly
"An army of vampires?" Bella asks obviously grappling with this in her head.
"And they've been created to fight someone," Jasper says his gold eyes staring my sister down again.
"We're the only clan even close to Seattle," Edward shakes his head
"Regardless of why they were made we're gonna have to put a stop to it soon or the Volturi will," Carlisle spoke up as he clasped his hands leaning his arms on his knees. "I'm surprised they let it go on this long," I scoff
"They're waiting idly for our annihilation," I speak definitively, Carlisle glances at me but doesn't get a chance to speak because Edward bet him to it.
"What if they're behind it," I shake my head, "In Italy, I read Aro's mind. He wants me and Alice to join him. Lilith, too, he knows we'll never choose him as long as our family is alive," Edward informs us.
"An army could solve that for him," Jasper agrees.
"No, Aro wouldn't get his hands dirty like that," I dismiss, everyone goes silent after that in thought. I look up at Jasper who's face remained stone in thought. I turned to look at Bella, who looked just as taken by her thoughts as I was. The next few weeks we gonna be fun.
