Walking onto the field filled my stomach with dread

Walking onto the field filled my stomach with dread. Jasper didn't stray far from my side, and I was close to Bella. We wait for the Volturi silently, everyone feeling the gravity of this situation. I watch the line anxiously, Jasper holding onto me for dear life. "If we live through this, I will follow you anywhere, woman," Garrett speaks up and looks down at Kate

"Now you tell me," She comments I look up at Jasper, in normal circumstances I'd have laughed, but my nerves were strong. Everything went still for a moment when suddenly they broke the range of sound. The sounds of their boots hitting the snow and suddenly their black and gray cloaks come into vision.

"The red coats are coming, the red coats are coming," Garrett repeats under his breath. I watched as they separated, and Aro, Marcus, and Caius step forward their wives close behind them and the most important parts of their guard flanking them. My spine straighten and my eyes flick around the coven, my brain wiring on how to protect my family and make it out alive.

"Aro's looking for Alice," Edward says, while we watch the Volturi come closer. My eyes land on Irina, my lips curling in a animalistic snarl only for Jasper to grab me, tapping his hand on my wrist to warn me. The howl of the wolves is what shocked Caius. The wolves joined us making our numbers larger. The sounds of their growls as they make their way through our witnesses causes many of the Volturi's witnesses eyes to widen a fraction. Jacob squeezes between Bella and I, looking between us both. Aro stops and his coven follows. They all lower their hoods slowly. This was the beginning of the end.
