The battle loomed on us my worry for my sister and family growing more and more making me a puddle of nerves. Laying in Jasper's room, Edward and Bella having stayed in the mountains to keep Bella's scent in the meadow without it lingering elsewhere. Jasper had his head leaned into my neck and his arms wrapped tightly around my frame. I laid in silence basking in him before opening my mouth to speak. "If we die tomorrow," I start Jasper picks his body up, putting his hands on either side of my head to look at me with eyes wide. "If we die tomorrow," I begin again "I want you to know how much I love you," I whisper

"We aren't dying," He scolds "None of us are dying tomorrow," I shake my head

"I just need you to know how much I love you, the last time we went into a fight with crazed vampires I died. I need you to know," I shake my head he frowns

"I know Lilith, I know," He assures me placing a soft kiss on my lips which I gratefully returned. Everything about him made me melt, from his gentle touches to his kisses which had never failed to make me a puddle in his hands. I put my hands on his cheeks looking into his eyes. "I love you," He whispers quietly his eyes filled with warmth and other emotions. I smile kissing him again, it was times like this that I cherished most. Being alone with the man that made me feel whole, the man that was my soulmate. I could feel his fingers trailing down my torso and onto my hips as he quickly flipped us so that I was above him. His body holding mine close.

"I want to marry you soon," I whisper "I want to be your wife," He smiled

"We have forever," He promises and I smile hoping, wishing, that it was true. That our love was the driving force that would prevail and keep us safe for the world but for now I was okay with just being here in the moment with him.

"Forever," I promised back leaning my forehead against his before moving to kiss him again his hands pushing my shirt higher and higher up my body. I basked in the bliss know when morning came we'd be at war.
