Dad's visit was quite painless, no ones dead, which is an amazing sign. They'd introduced Renesmee in a way that you could tell dad knew something was up but knew not to ask, which made things slightly easier. I stood on the porch waving dad off with Edward and Bella when Jasper and Emmett joined us. "Well done, Bella, I've never seen a newborn show such restraint," Jasper praises
"Hey!" I said, "I was very restrained, thank you very much," I playfully smack his arm, and he laughed
"I'm not sure she is a newborn," Emmett speaks up "She's so... tame," He goads her
"Emmett, don't antagonize her she's the strongest one in the house," Edward warns and Emmett scoffs, cracking his knuckles
"Please," I smiled, knowing where this was going when suddenly Edward leaned over to Bella mentioning something about the promise she made him when they spoke about her turning. She smirked, challenging Emmett to an arm wrestle competition. They'd almost done it at Esme's antique table, but Alice stopped them, telling them that Esme would be upset if they broke it, making them move into the forest where Emmett showed off his strength by carrying a large boulder, putting it down on another rock to be their surface.
"Don't hurt yourself, Emmett!" Edward teases as they get into position.
"Alright, on three!" Jasper yells "1,2..." He stalls before calling 3 to which they start. Emmett has a strong start, but Bella eventually gets ahead. Emmett's face drops as he tries to push into Bella's hand. She eventually pushes his hand into the rock, causing it to shatter under the pressure. She laughs.
"Did you see that?" She asks before turning back to the broken boulder and Emmett's bruised competitiveness, smashing her fist into the rock. It continues to break and I laugh watching my sister who looked like she was in bliss.
