Red Velvet's Vivian's mother has passed away earlier this morning. The news was confirmed by SM Entertainment, who has asked that everyone please be mindful and respectful towards the family of the deceased.
The cause of death has not been revealed, and will be kept private, as well as her funeral. SM also announced that a memorial will be placed outside the company's building in Seoul for the next 2 months for fans to visit and leave letters for the family.
"Red Velvet's Vivian's mother indeed passed away earlier today. The family wishes to keep details private. We will be leaving a memorial outside our building and will see ourselves that letters will be delivered to the family. Please be mindful of the mourning during this time. Thank you."
Vivian's mother was a well known figure to the fans. She was spotted openly promoting the groups activities at her café in Seoul, and made frequent appearances at concerts aswell.
