Moving everything into my new office was a fun Monday for my team and I. Garcia set up my new computer system and the buzz in. Basically if you're not me or security you couldn't get into my office. She made it to where the I, security, and the whole team could buzz in. How lovely. When we finished I put the nameplate my dad gave me front and center on my desk.

The team stood in front of my desk as I sat in my chair.
"Say it" Prentiss directed me
"What"

"Oh" I sat up in my desk and continued "Hi I'm director Madeline Roberts"
"Don't forget that middle name"
"I forget that it's mandatory"
I continued my sentence with the whole teams eyes on me
"Hi I'm director Madeline Alexandria Roberts"
"AHHHH it sounds so good"

I stood up from my desk when Penelope got a call.
"Well madeline you have your first meeting as director"
"With who?"
"Interpol Director, James Hardwick"
"Goodluck mads" Spencer called out as my team left
I sat at my desk finishing up contracts saying I promise to actually do my job and all the good stuff, when a 38 year old man was buzzed in by security.
He stuck out his hand "James Hardwick, Interpol director. Call me James. Nice to meet you" He said coldly. If he thinks he's gonna disrespect me in my office, he is so wrong.
I shook his hand a little more firm than I should've. Oops?
"Director Madeline Alexandria Roberts, uh you can call me Director Roberts or just Roberts" Letting him call me my first name? No, I don't think so.
"Congrats on this. Youngest director in FBI history"
"Yeah, thanks"
"Also the first female"

"It makes sense, this a hard job"

"I'm saying it makes sense why a woman has never done this job. It's a hard one"

"You know why I think a woman has never been in this job? Because misogynistic men get put in places of power and hate it when women can do just the same, if not more. I think more women should be put in places of power. I'd like to see some change for once you know?" This man was not gonna shit on women in my office, in my building, and in my bureau.
