Chapter 14: Pardon

"This is good," I said as the cold beer traveled through my throat. I closed my eyes when the cold wind came and caressed the fine hairs of my arm.

We stopped at a hill to see the city, and as the night comes, it's breathtaking to look at it with the lights on.

Nakalatag ang isang kumot sa damuhan para maka-upo kami at simula nung dumating kami dito ay nanahimik lang kami para pagmasdan ang siyudad.

"Did you enjoy going to the Enchanted Kingdom for the second time?" Desmond asked, and I saw his hair is disheveled because of the wind.

Hindi ako nag-alinlangan na ayusin ito at parang natigilan pa siya sa ginawa ko. Kaagad naman akong tumango bilang sagot dahil totoo namang masaya ang nangyare ngayon.

"I enjoyed it. Thank you for taking me with you guys," there was no hesitation in thanking them because this moment is rare. Back then, I always pushed them away, but they were too stubborn to do that until I realized that I already got used to their presence.

"You're welcome," Morde responded and tapped my head. It was just a normal action, but it made me happy. This heart of mine suddenly throbbed in a fast manner, but I don't want to jump to a conclusion right away.

"Tss, ang akala ko sisiw lang sa'yo 'yung mga rides do'n pero tinalo mo pa ako sa pag-tili," pang-aasar ko dito pero tinawanan niya nalang ako dahil alam niyang totoo ang sinasabi ko.

I wasn't expecting that. I was appalled to see him sweating buckets and pale that time, but instead of worrying, I even teased him more. He's such a cutie, tss.

"Anong sunod naman nating pupuntahan?" tanong ni Desmond kaya napa-isip kaagad ako kung may susunod pa ba.

"Beach, probably Boracay," I answered, and I saw them both nodding. They like the idea of going to the beach, but for me, I just want to see the sunset meeting the sea.

"Boracay is a good place to relax. We can go there next month," Morde muttered.

"Huwag ka munang mag-plano. Minsan 'yung mga hindi planadong gala 'yun pa 'yung natutuloy."

Totoo naman ang sinabi ni Desmond na lahat ng mga hindi planadong mga gala e' 'yun pa ang mga natutuloy at sa tingin ko ay mas masaya 'yun.

Bigla namang bumukas ang phone ni Desmond at kumunot ang noo ko nang makita ang sketch ng isang lalaki na lock screen wallpaper niya.

"He looks good," I praised while analyzing the sketch of the man on Desmond's lock screen, and as he shifted his attention to his phone, he became uncomfortable.

"He's not even looked good when he's beside me," he commented with the arrogance that made me roll my eyes.

"Sino ba kasi 'yan? Crush mo?" hindi huminto ang bibig ko at parang punong-puno ng pandidiri si Desmond sa tanong ko.
