Chapter 46: Patch things up

"Are you sure?" Jooheon insisted again and Changkyun grunted in annoyance. It was the fifteenth time the head alpha has asked the omega if everything is okay. Changkyun was getting sick of it. If his mate asked one more time he was going to pounce on him.

Changkyun tossed his toothbrush back into the cup and turned out to face his mate that was back in the bedroom changing clothes for the new day.

For some reason, Changkyun woke up very irritable that morning and he was snapping at Jooheon for every little thing.

Period times are dark times.

Jooheon knew not to bother him on his dark days ... but he was just worried about his mate keeping secrets from him...

Changkyun stood under the bathroom's heavy door frame to look at Jooheon slip a black tee on his ripped body.

"Can you stop asking me that?" the omega asked with his eyes furrowed.

Jooheon sighed knowing his mate is too stubborn to say anything.

"I keep telling you that everything is alright Jooheon!"

"And for some reason, I don't believe that."

"Then believe it! There's nothing to say, and even if there is then it's none of your business."

Jooheon's mouth dropped.

Changkyun saw it but turned his face away from his mate to get dressed. He wanted to get out of the pack and just be free. He made plans with Kihyun to go to Seoul for some grocery shopping. He ignored Jooheon and grabbed his favorite red flannel shirt, his dark grey jeans, and his favorite black converse that were starting to fall apart .. but even so he loved them dearly. It was a gift from Nana.

"I'm going out with Kihyun."

Jooheon recovered from his shock and just nodded slowly.

"Take your phone. Also, stay with him at all times," he said dryly, still feeling hurt that Changkyun would say such a thing to him.

"I know." Kyun grabbed his brand new phone cuz the last one went swimming with him and Seokwon.

Jooheon watched his mate grabbed his things and crossed his arms in front of his chest staring at his mate.

"I know you went through a lot of shit lately, but now we are together, you have to get used to sharing everything with me."

"I know that."

"Then why can't you do it?"

"Because is not something I can share Joo. My friends confide in me and I have to keep their secrets! It's private stuff I can't share with you. Please respect that."

Jooheon again stared at his mates big dark brown eyes and sighed out loud grabbing him by the waist to pull him towards him.

"Fine. I won't pry anymore."

"Good." Changkyun let out a sigh of relief "is nothing to worry about. I promise."

"Alright."

"And sorry for snapping at you."

"Is okay," the head alpha planted a small kiss to the omega's forehead "I just worry."

"I know Jooheon. I promise that I won't keep big secrets from you." he kissed the alpha on the lips. Deep in his mind, he was already feeling bad for lying. His wolf disapproved too.
