Chapter 15

| Just another normal day,
except his shamelessness

Sunday came like the wind, I stood up from my bed. Rubbed my eyes as I try to dispel the sleepiness in my body and stretched.

I looked at my phone and notice that there's a voicemail. I opened it and was suddenly assaulted by his voice. I almost drop my phone from the suddenness of it.

So I lowered the sound and placed it in my ear before clicking on it once again.

"Good morning Feng-er, sorry for not messaging you yesterday, I was too tired and it's already midnight when I finished from the set. How are is my dearest Gongzhu? Let's meet after I sleep, hm? I'll wait for you at my place and have some hotpot, deal?"

I giggled at the end, is this some kind of date? Well, he's a famous person so it wouldn't be right to just go outside with him. I'm just asking for a disaster then.

I texted 'okay' and end it just like that, I need to act coyly as possible. I couldn't be like one of those silly girls who are clearly foolish and reckless when it comes to love.

Now, it's time to get my mother to attend her weekly dance. I reckon it's just some hour away from our house, I should get going now.

I get down after drying my hair and happens to lol at the clock, it's still six. I woke up since I sleep earlier, I think I really had a good sleep yesterday. At that thought, I could feely myself smiling foolishly as I prepared the ingredients.

I'm going to make some wonton soup.

First I took a large bowl from the counter and mix some pork and some seasonings. After that, I cleaned my hands and took the wonton wrapper and scoop some seasoned meat and placed it on the wrapper before folding it. I cooked the wontons in a different pot to avoid it getting soggy and after that, I turned to gather my ingredients to make the soup.

Then I opened the stove and work on my soup, with some seasonings in hand and chicken broth as well as the wonton, the soup is done.

"You cooked? It smells good" my father greeted before he look over my shoulder and saw the food.

"I did, let's get breakfast started" I smiled and went to my brothers room. He's here for three days then he'll be out again, thankfully, he's such a pain in the ass sometimes.

"Gege, breakfast is ready!" He groaned at the noise and continued to sleep.

"Fine! I'll just scoop some for you after you wake up. Be grateful!" I harrumphed and went to the kitchen to see my mother testing my food.

At that sight, I became more nervous and but my lips as I silently watch her. For a second, I thought she'll spit it out but to my surprise, she tasted it again.

"Is it good Mom?"

She looked at me and nodded before saying.

"You did a good job" and smiled.

She smiled, I couldn't help but smile back at her before arranging the bowls and scooping some soup for them.

In the end, we had scrumptious meal although my father almost finished it and I just remembered that I need to take some for my brother.

Ai, I feel like I'm taking care of a son, it's just great that he isn't here every time.

...

After I dressed myself with some white shirt and some jeans, I was on the road with my mother and my father along with my brother. He's still grumpy since he haven't eaten much on breakfast.

It's his fault for being lazy.

Anyway, I drove to the plaza and I can almost hear the music that can only be described as loud and energetic before parking my car. We got out and walked towards the plaza before we were bombarded with several aunties and uncles along the way.

Just within my sight, I can already see my brother zooming on some girls that are lounging on the other side.

Oh my goodness, he's such a guy, a very hormonal one at that.

It didn't take long for the aunties and uncles to commerce and do their thing. Songs upon songs were played, my father smiled along while my mother moved energetically.

For me, I'm just leaning back on my convertible chair that I bought from Taobao when my phone vibrates. It's a call from Ming Chen.

I held my phone in my ear, tightly holding on it as I took a deep breath before muttering a simple greeting.

"Hi" a breathless tone that can't hide the feeling of anticipation and bashfulness on me.

"Is my Feng-er a bit nervous?" I could hear the teasing in his tone, this shameless rogue!

"Shut up" I hissed with a threatening blush on my cheeks.

"Aw, my dearest Gongzhu, don't be embarrassed. Ha, I really want to bully you in tears but that's for another time, it's not the right time yet"

This- he's making me feel the second embarrassment even more! How can he be this shameless?! Is there really no hint of shame on his veins?! Argh!

"You- you, don't you dare! I'll bite you to death!"

His laughter were clear and loud on my ears that I couldn't help but be abashed at it. I agree, women in love will have those times where they deeply hate their boyfriend and then after a minute their in love with them even more.

Ai, now I knew the extent of craziness women feels whenever their in love.

"Feng-er?" I shiver from his deep and magnetic voice, it really feels like he's whispering on my ear.

"What?" I hissed softly at him.

"I love you"

I stopped the incoming squeal from my mouth before taking a deep breath and grunting softly.

"I need to go now, don't forget our date okay?"

"I won't, goodbye"

He ended the call with a kiss, my ears felt hot as well as my face as I palm my face and breathe.

Ah, I need to calm down or else-

"Why are you blushing?"

"Ah! Gege! Why did you sneak up on me like that?!" My heart thuds so hard I could feel myself gasping in fear.

Did he hear our conversation? Did he hear me mentioning Ming Chen's name? Looking at him, he doesn't seem to heard my earlier call, he just looks at me with curiosity.

"Um...it's just hot, yeah, it's hot. By the way, did you hook up with another girl again?! I saw you looking at girls earlier!"

At my words, he just simply smiled and boast at me, ending the curiousity in his eyes and erasing his question by asking one from him.

Yep, I don't think I'll be prepared, I mean I think I won't ever be prepared to let Ming Chen meet my parents. Especially my brother, god knows what he'll teach him.
