Chapter 29

| Meeting the not self proclaimed rival of Ming Chen |

The three of us looked at each other without blink and it ended after I did the first move. I blinked.

Eyes slightly teared up, I looked at the helpless Liu Ying whose hands are clawed on his arms while he look at me mockingly.

Great.

Why do I have to say those words?! My head must have been filled with water to even say those words out loud! Argh! Now I'm on this prediction and no one's gonna help me!

"Da ren, the most superior, the most handsome and peerless man in this planet. I'm sure that your mind is broad by your immense knowledge and thus, this lowly person can be forgiven by you, right?"

If I can lie that my students work is good enough to pass for any talent show then I can say those disgusting, farting words to him without blinking.

"Zhen's words are like gold, they cannot be retracted. You- this lowly servant- can kneel for all you want but zhen won't take zhen's words back" he said with an imposing tone before ending it with a sneer.

Suddenly, I feel like I was in the ancient times where I was an convicted minister whose innocent. Hearing the emperor's sentence made me feel helpless at the situation and aggrieved at the unfair decision.

"Come"

The emperor- I mean this dog man Wei Xiu said as he lifted his hands and tugged on Liu Ying. He didn't even put me in his eyes, he's acting way too much!

He's not an emperor!

"B-Bengong will depart now" she timidly said and stood up.

Wow! Even Liu Ying! I looked at her shocked as the two of them closed the palace doors- I mean the living room!

And with that, our friendship broke.

Not really.

After a few hours of moping around and glaring at the two betrayers, I had finally come to a conclusion.

I should tell Ming Chen lest he hear it from the devil. I just know that if he learned of it, he would surely sulk and be drunk from all that vinegar in his head.

I don't want that, really.

"Did my Feng-er missed me?" He's always like this, I don't think I've ever received a proper hello from him on the phone.

"Yes I did my gou- dear. I missed you so much!" I dragged the last word before hearing a choking sound from the other line.

"Are you drunk?"

"No! I mean no, I'm not drunk my sugar pie honey bunch! Are you free tomorrow?" I wanted to wash my mouth so badly after saying those cheesy words!

"Um...I'll try-"

"You don't have to if you can't!"

"Feng Mian...is something the matter? You've been acting like a...proper girlfriend and I'm not used to that"

Shoot. I forgot that my boyfriend is an actor and must have sense the act. Well, forgive me if I can't act, I'm not just suited for that!

"Well....you see..."

And then the rest, well, let's just thank the heavens that nothing had exploded.

I can see his furrowed brows under that black sunglasses. His hold onto me was a bit tight but not enough to cause me bruises.

After hearing that I'll be going to the hospital and that hospital is where his so called rival works, Peizhi, he told me he will go with me.

It's not like I'm going to do shameful things on broad daylight! I'm just courting death then!

And how can he treat Peizhi as a rival?! We haven't even moved to the dating part and was just casually knowing each other.

We're already inside the hospital and is now crowding the corridor. Some nurses looked at us repeatedly and Wei Xiu could only say that we're waiting for someone, he didn't specify more. I think the nurse's assumed that we're friends of a patient.

"I think we should call her first"

"Nope, we should surprise her! Call Pei- I mean ask anyone" great job Liu Ying, you just mentioned someone that should not be named.

"I'll ask" Ming Chen said and he was about to ask a nurse when my name was suddenly called.

I looked behind me and gulped in fear. Oh heavens, why are you doing this to me?! All of you know how jealous this shameless rogue gets when a man talks to me!

"Hi, um...great weather huh?"

"Oh...yeah, so what are you doing here? Do you want some help I'll-"

"We're just looking for someone, I think my girlfriend doesn't need a stranger's help"

Really? I looked at him, appalled at his childish actions and looked at Peizhi apologetically.

"Um...were looking for a friend of ours. Her name's Aifen, do you perhaps know her?"

"Aifen? Oh, yes I knew her. She's in the pediatric department, do you want me to show you?"

I was about to turn his offer down when Ming Chen suddenly interrupts me.

"You may" he said as if he's some gongzhi.

I look at Liu Ying whose staring at the wall, intentionally, and glance at the doting eyes of Wei Xiu.

Great. They're ignoring their friend's plea for help, how noble of them.

"I think we can ma-"

"Let your friend help us, after all he insisted so we must appreciate his help, right Feng-er?"

I weakly nod as the four of us continued to move forward with Peizhi's lead. Along the way, I could feel a brewing storm coming at our peaceful walk and yes, my instincts are true.

It was when Ming Chen glanced at me with mirth in his eyes before suddenly opening his mouth.

Great, the heavens just purely hated my calm and peaceful life.
