| Thoughts plaguing my mind and oh- relatives, ugh |

I couldn't sit still and has been walking back and forth in my room. After I left the room, my grandma decided to sneak in action and called all of our relatives. You know, those relatives that I didn't even knew I have.

Since it was an abrupt meeting, grandma instructed my brother to get her three bottles of Xifengjiu which she buried underneath the magnolia tree. It was said that grandmother really loves this wine and it can only be taken when there's a very important occasion at least in her case.

Soon, I was on the edge of fear, I wouldn't dare to call Ming Chen since he's supposedly driving and I don't want him to be in an accident.

My phone lit up and I was seen dashing out of my room with just a shirt and a shorts on. I was already outside of grandma's house when I saw a familiar car.

I walk towards it and knock on the window before a familiar face sprang up.

"You're here" I said, still in disbelief.

If someone told me that Ming Chen would be here in my hometown meeting my grandma and my unknown relatives, I would have been mortified and told everyone that it won't happen. Ever.

But here we are, ai, fate really do wonders.

"Missed me?" He asked with a charming smile on his face.

"Yep, really, really missed you"

He laughed in response while I look at the back seat and saw piles of shopping bags from a very well known brand.

"You didn't have to buy so many.... it's also too expensive" I mused in regret.

"Well, it's for my wife's family, I just ought to buy them gifts" he retorted gaining another shameful point in my head.

I can only glare at him as I watch him taking all the shopping bags on his hand before he enclosed his palm on mine. I held his hand and took some of the bags and went inside grandma's house.

Well, let's just ready ourselves for another battle.

As soon as I opened the door, countless eyes were on us. I stop on my tracks but was pulled by Ming Chen's stride as he walk straight to my grandma.

I could hear the murmurs from my relatives and I'm sure they have already guess who he is but thankfully, there's still my grandma who is like the current head in this room.

"Grandma, I'm sorry to come here in such a late time"

"Aiyah, it's fine, you look good young man! Perfect for my waisunnu, isn't he?" Grandma turned towards us while I nodded my head, my ears feeling hot from the sudden spotlight.

"Thank you grandma" he bows and then turned to my relatives before saying. "It's a bit inconvenient to meet all of you abruptly, I apologize. I hope you can accept the gifts I specially prepared for all of you" then he begun to bow into my distant relatives and proceeds to give them gifts.

They can only take the gifts and shower him with gratification and praise after all he did deserve it. He was asked here without any notice and is still courteous enough to visit and prepare for gifts.

After that, it's like a war has finally started. Questions upon questions were brought into the discussion, whether it's about his work or his family and of course they didn't let me off. He was asked about his future plans and whether I'm on it and that made me burn in shame and of course, a slight anger.

My grandmother didn't even ask, what's the matter with them. Fortunately, he was able to dodge all the insensitive questions and had emerged as the winner.

Food is the first priority of the people, and so we begin to eat. The aroma of the Xifengjiu, combined with the delicacies that our relatives bought from the market was enough to satisfy our bellies.

Ming Chen held my hand under the table while he continued to exchange words with one of my older cousin. I on the other hand remained calm and answered all of my aunties and cousins inquiry towards our relationship.

I grip his hand and intertwined my fingers with his and smiled, after all the tension and fear, we have finally finished.

It's a success!

...

Since my grandma seem to like Ming Chen very much, she decided to let him sleep here, naturally in another room.

I finished washing up when a knock resounded outside. Drops of water fell from the floor since my hair is still wet, I didn't mind it and just opened the door.

"Ming Chen? Why are you-"

"Feng-er, I'm tired" he said with that coquettish tone that made me feel like I was tickled in my heart.

"Y-you" I stuttered before dragging him into my room.

I close my door and settled down on the bed while blow dry my hair. Ming Chen in the other hand was quietly watching me as he played with the hem of my shirt.

After I finished drying and brushing my hair, it suddenly dawn on me that it's already the middle of the night, just the two of us in a room.

I suddenly felt a bit nervous and I can almost  hear the beat of his heart, smell the lemon soap that I used earlier and feel the heat emanating on his body.

Thoughts that aren't applicable to children popped into my head and I was soon sweaty. Then I notice a shadow looming behind me, my heart instantly beat so fast I dear my grandma would hear it.

I closed my eyes, I didn't know what to do, it seems like closing my eyes is the natural thing to do.

I can feel him getting closer, his palms already on my shoulders and felt his nose skimming on my cheek before he peck my forehead and lay down.

I opened my eyes and look down, blinking my eyes away, it's still is him laying on my lap. I could feel his tight hold on my waist.

I covered my hands in shame and screamed inside my head. I feel so embarrassed for thinking such thougts, I think I'm becoming more like Ming Chen! Argh!

After calming myself down, I look at Ming Chen and notice the dark bags underneath his eyes. Feeling a sudden pity blooming in my chest, I kissed him in his cheeks and smiled at his efforts.

Really, I am truly fortunate to have him, just imagining a future without him sends deep sadness in my heart.

Fate has us meet from a thousand miles away, even though we spend the years without each other, we had finally met thanks to fate.
