"It didn't look like that the other day."

And there it was again. This sudden tingling sensation that rushed through my body and set off a warning signal in my head. Although my heart started beating faster and my breaths became a little bit hectic, the presence of this feeling was not as intense as it was last week.

But why?

Maybe my body had finally gotten used to it and now finally gave me some control ...

Nevertheless, the feeling was there, so I did the same thing as Soyeon and stared angrily at the boy across from us.
Since the rest of the people at the table stayed silent and watched the four of us trying to kill each other with deadly looks, the atmosphere around us was nerve-racking.

Even though none of us spoke, a few other students looked over to our table with curiosity.
They whispered to each other and wondered why NCT was sitting at our table and whether this meant that we had become friends.

Tss, as if something like that was possible.

"Do you smell that?" Jisung suddenly interrupted our silent fight and lifted a finger up.

All eyes instantly focused on him and watched as he scrunched his own nose and started sniffing around.

"The scent of sexual tension is in the air."

"Shut up!" it came strangely from all four of us, whereupon the younger one automatically flinched, his body shrinking because of us suddenly yelling at him.

While we were looking at him annoyed, Chenle only started laughing out loud, sounding like a little dolphin that was singing right beside us.
Jaemin, Mark and Renjun couldn't help but smile, while Momo and Mina chuckled as well.

I don't know how the boy did it, but he somehow managed to ease up the situation a little.
Of course, Soyeons and my hostility didn't disappear, but we relaxed a little as the boys' icy cold attitudes loosened.
Instead of their usual intimidating manner, they sat there like normal civilized students for once.

Silently I pricked my food before I felt Momo's elbow in my hip a few seconds later.

"What did Donghyuck mean by 'the other day'? Did something happen?"

As Momo unfortunately didn't know what the word whispering meant, the boy heard his own name and immediately answered before I could.

"I saved your friend from SVT", he said in a cheerful and pleased voice, taking a bite from his food in amusement.

"As if I needed your help. I had everything under control," I replied shortly afterwards and narrowed my eyes as I glared at him again.

"Keep telling yourself that, you were completely screwed."

"Shut the fuck up, I was not."

"Yes you were, you even held hands with me."

My mouth opened upset, but I couldn't find any insulting words to throw at him. Instead, I felt an unpleasant heat rise up in my cheeks as a shameful feeling spread inside of me.
