(Em's POV)
I'm just standing in Zac's arms, crying into his shoulder, while Pat rubs my back, today was supposed to be Sam's day. Not only was he coming off of one of his best games but he also kicked 6 goals, beating his PB (personal best) by 2 goals. I have ruined his day, well Lait did mainly all of the work.
My whole body feels numb, My face is covered in tears and so is Zac's shirt. I feel a familiar hand on my back.
"Let's go home" My boyfriend says, I nod and we start walking to the entrance
"I'll call an uber" The skippa says
7 minutes later the uber arrives, Crippa gets in the front and I sit in between Zac and Sam. The drive home was almost uncomfortable, I felt so responsible for everything.
I lied on Sam's shoulder.
"I'm sorry I ruined your day" I say, lifting my head to make eye contact with Sam.
"Are you kidding me, you have not ruined it, I played the best game of footy ever, you were there beside me supporting me, you didn't ruin it, Laitham did, you could never." he responds, I kiss him on the cheek.
When we arrive home, the house is dark and cold. I quickly run and turn the heaters on as quick as I could.
"You guys hungry" Zac asks
"YES!" I respond
"I'm just gonna cook the frozen pizza. Is that okay" Zac asks
"Yean, no problem" I say back
"Well, I should be heading home" Cripps says
"Cripps is quite late, you can stay the night in the guest room" Zac says
"Are you sure?" Cripps asks
"Yeah why not, then we can call go to training together in the morning" Zac responds
"I'm gonna go upstairs and change" I say as I grab Walshy arm and lead him upstairs with me
"You two better not do anything up there, remember the walls are thin" Zac shouts
"Thank you for today" I say to Sam and we go into my room
"I'm always going to protect you Em" he responds, he tackles me into the bed, we are both laughing his heads off.
"You did amazing today" I say
"Thank you" he says
I smile while looking into those gorgeous blue eyes.
"What" says says breaking my trance
"I still can't believe that this is real" I say
"What do you mean" he replies
"I just mean that I never thought we would end up dating, and we are, I'm still in shock" I say shyly
"Well, you better start realising this is real" he says while kissing me
We are quickly interrupted by Zac shouting "Lovebirds, pizza is ready". I swear Zac always knows how to ruin a moment. We jump out of bed and I quickly get changed while Sam heads downstairs.
"You two better have not done anything up there" Zac says smiling
"I hate you Zac" I respond
"Sure you do" he responds
"Positive" I say while grabbing a slice of Pizza.
We all sit on the couch, and we turn the tv on and they are talking about Sam's game.
