I loved writing this chapter and I hope you all enjoy reading it.

"H Man are you ready for today's game?" M.G. comes up to me with the biggest smile on his face.

"Why are you so pumped?" I ask him confused.

"It's game day!" M.G. hangs his arm over my shoulder pulling me close to him. "This is my first flag football game here and it's going to be epic." M.G. exclaims. I laugh at his enthusiasm.

"Has anyone told you what this game is really about?" I ask.

"Yeah and..."

"This is the one time a year that our school goes head to head with Mystic Falls High to show the locals we're a bunch of normal kids who suck at football." I explain to M.G. who still smiles.

"School spirit though right?" M.G. gives me a thumbs up.

"This game is going to suck." I groan in annoyance.

"Cheer up it's going to be fun even if we have to pretend to suck."

"Why are you so excited?" I ask him confused.

"I love this type of school event. This is something I live for!"

"You need to get out more man." I state to him.

"Says the guy who spends most of his time alone. I mean how many friends do you have here? You've gone to this school since you were what like five?"

"And your point is?" I ask him.

"I'm new here and we clicked like right away but you seem to keep a low profile with anyone else." M.G. says to me but I keep my head low. "Come on we're friends right? I mean we hang out a lot and...we like a lot of the same things."

"M.G. it's difficult to..."

"This is your year to make more friends. My roommate Kaleb is cool. You'd like him." I nod my head but brush M.G.'s hand off.

"I need to get some food."

"I'll come with!" M.G. is all giddy with excitement.

"You really need to dial down that joy of yours." I fire back at him.

"And you need to find some joy." M.G. throws right back at me and I chuckle. "Morning!" We come up to Lizzie and Josie. "Big game today..."

"Bounce, M.G." Lizzie cuts him off and I give him a look.

"Dude what did you do?" I whisper to him.

"If you hurry, you can catch up with the Blair Bitch and tongue-chum her again." Lizzie is seething and M.G. quickly pulls me away.

"Dude who did you tongue-chum?" I ask him and he still has this weird look on his face.

"So um...last night at the party I may have...sucked face with Penelope Park." He explains to me and my eyes widen. "And Josie may have walked in on us."

"Wow and that's the reaction Lizzie gives you. Damn bad move." I state to him.

"Yeah, not my best moment."

"This game might be better after all." I comment to M.G. as we grab breakfast. "You don't have to eat with me. I know it's..."

"No the food still tastes somewhat okay. Blood keeps me fueled but...this keeps the cravings down." M.G. explains to me.

"Yeah, I guess I should have known that. My mom still craves human food and she's been a vampire for decades now." I explain to M.G.

"Will, I ever get to meet your parents?"
