November 9, 1991 - Circa 4 pm

"Now that you've all decided to show up.. Miss Parkinson 100 lines of 'I will not use vulgar terms to describe my classmates' will do."

"Miss Black 150 lines of 'I will try to restrain myself from starting fights because this is my second one this year, it makes my house look bad, and the next detention for a fight will be spent scrubbing the trophy cabinet by hand with no magic'."

"and I do mean that Miss Black"

'Of course he gives me the longest sentence' I thought to myself.

But I didn't say anything, I know what happens when you give Snape attitude.

"Miss Monet 'I will stay out of my friends foolish fist fights and try to calm her temper' will suffice. I will be in the Great Hall when you finish."

We got to working on our lines and after awhile
Dani finally broke the silence.

"I think you both should apologize, that's really why he's got us all three here. Don't you think?"

"Absolutely not, that word is disgusting." I stood my ground.

"And she punched me in the face!" I added.

"You punched me first!" Pansy said defensively.

"Because you cal-"

"GUYS! I mean Pansy you did kind of deserve it and (y/n), Malfoy says that to people all the time.. and MEANS it."

Of course she's going to mention Malfoy. Of course. Thank you Daniele Monet.

"Pansy sounded like she meant it too" I bit.

I did not want to think about stupid Malfoy at the moment.

Honestly boys are weird and Malfoy irritated me every second of the day.

So I just went along with what Dani was saying to avoid the topic altogether.

"Fine, Pansy. I'm somewhat sorry I punched you in the face."

She didn't say anything back. Dani looked at me and raised her eyebrow.

"Fine whatever, I AM sorry that I punched you in the face but to be fair you did call me a mud-blood when I am very much a half-blood."

"I'm sorry I called you a mud-blood. I didn't really mean it."

Her apology sounded heartfelt.

After that, we finished our lines in silence and then went to dinner to hand them to Snape.

"Pansy, would you like to sit with us?"

I made a mental note to try not to suffocate Dani in her sleep tonight.

"Yeah sure, I guess so"

Pansy did, indeed, sit with us at and it was very awkward.

I was so irritated with Dani.

Malfoy looked at us and raised his eyebrow at me in suspicion. I rolled my eyes at him and looked away quickly.

I mainly stayed quiet and probably looked quite miserable the whole time.

Dani and Pansy would get me to join the conversation occasionally, but I was still irritated.

Pansy sitting with us at lunch became a regular thing. She did end up apologizing to me one more time and I finally forgave her.
