"I only expect a few, if any of you to actually posesss the ability to do what I'm going to teach."

"Nevertheless, I'm here." My aunt said as she rose elegantly from her seat.

"And I may be your professor, but you'll not address me as such. It's Regina, or Your Highness. Take your pick." She said as she smirked.

"Now unlike other classes, there won't be any grades for this one. This isn't something that everyone can do. You either have the ability in your bloodline, or you don't. I'm simply here to... unlock the possibilities."

She went on to explain the art of wandless magic.

Most people were either too mesmerized to look away, or too scared.

She could be a bit frightening.

"Who'd like to try lighting this candle?

No one offered.

"How about you, (Y/n)?"

"I didn't raise my hand, I haven't got it yet." I argued.

People stared at me like I was crazy for talking back.

They must not know yet.

"You'll try anyways." She said with a fake grin and wide eyes, clearly irritated with me.

I kept trying to no avail.

"You're concentrating too hard." She said calmly.

"Aren't you supposed to concentrate?" I snapped back.

"Relax, deep breaths, and focus on pulling your magic from within. Feel it moving through you, and pool it in your hands." She said.

I did what she said.

She turned to the class. "Many of you may have doubts. This is not the magic you're used to. Your magic comes from within you, not your wand. Your magic obeys you, not your wand."

"I did it!" I yelled.

The flame went out when I got excited, but not before it was seen.

"Splendid job, my niece everyone." She said as she gestured towards me. Harry and my friends clapped. A few whispers broke out.

"Silence." She held up her hand.

"I want you all to practice the rest of the class with your own candles. Don't be discouraged, this is not normally mastered until later."

Harry got his on the first try, he was more powerful than people gave him credit for.

This made Draco keep trying and he was getting increasingly frustrated.

"She probably lit yours for you" he mumbled hatefully.

I concentrated again and made the candle flicker.

"Oh shove off Black!"

"You're trying too hard Draco. You're supposed to be calm."

"I am calm."

"You're.. really not. Remember what she said to me and use that. It helps if you think of someone you care about."

"I doubt that." He said as he tried anyways.

The candle flickered for a split second before it went out and he pushed the candle away from him quickly.

"You did it! Did you do what I said? Who did you think of?"
