Harry and Ron ran into Lockhart's room with me and Draco following.

"Professor, we've got some information for you!"

He was packing.

"Are you going somewhere?" I asked.

"Um, well, yes. Urgent call. Unavoidable. Got to go." He stuttered so I knew he was lying.

"What about my sister?" Ron asked.

"Well, as to that. Most unfortunate. No one regrets more than I-"

"You're the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher! You can't go now!" Harry yelled.

"I must say, when I took the job, nothing in the job description-"

"You're running away? After all that stuff you did in your books?" Harry questioned.

"Books can be misleading."

"Pathetic" Draco spat.

"You wrote them!" Harry argued.

Lockhart went on to admit that he didn't actually do the things in his book. Harry called him a fraud as Lockhart argued with him.

"I knew it" I said to Draco.

"We can still go back to the common room, if you want." He tried.

"I'm not leaving."

"Of course not." He grumbled.

"Is there anything you can do?" Ron asked.

"Yes, now that you mention it. I'm rather gifted with Memory Charms. Otherwise, you see, all those wizards would've gone blabbing and I'd never have sold another book. I'm afraid I'll have to do the same to you four."

"Expelliarmus!" Harry shouted.

"Looks like those dueling lessons came in handy after all, Professor." Harry said sarcastically as he picked up Lockhart's wand.

Lockhart walked ahead of us as we all had our wands pointed at him.

Harry and Ron were asking Myrtle how she died.

"You idiots do realize that we're threatening a Professor, right?"

"Would you stop complaining already?" I snapped at Draco.

"Lunatics, the lot of you." He snapped back.

"This is it, Ron. This is the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets."

"Say something, Harry. Say something in Parseltongue." Ron said.

Draco was interested now.

"Open up."

"Still English" I said

"Where's Noir when we need her?" Harry asked.

"Look Harry, there's a tiny snake on the sink, see if that will help." I replied.

Harry hissed at the sinks and they opened up to a huge pipe that looked like a slide.

"Excellent, Harry. Good work. Well then. I'll just be going. There's no need for me.." Lockhart said.

"Oh, yes there is. You first."

Harry pointed his wand at Lockhart, then at the opening.

"Now, boys. What good will it do?"
