--Y/n's POV--

"Tell me! Is this also a plantation? If so, are there any adults--" I ask quickly but they cut me off, "I knew it, you're not like the other kids. You know about the plantations. About them. This isn't one of the farms. It's a secret garden... The private property of an aristocrat called Lord Bayon. The only reason you, me, and the other kids are still alive is for them to hunt us." They explain. 'So they live in a monarch, huh... But...' I think before speaking up, "But, what about the Promise? 'Demons shan't hunt huma-'" I quote yet they interrupt me once again.

"The farms don't know about this place. It's a hidden playground." They explain, 'So the ones here don't care about the rules... Being an Ancient won't come any useful here...' I mentally tell myself. "What about the rest of the kids?" I ask, "They are innocent newbies. Once a month, new cattle arrives to replace the ones who have been eaten." They say, I feel a sick nostalgic feeling in my stomach. "But... Aren't the children killed right on the gates? How come they are still breathing yet were shipped out?" I ask.

"They have some special privilege and use it to ship living cattle." They answer, "Wait, but then that means..." I whisper but they seem to have heard, "They don't know anything at all." They say, my face goes cold. "Let me guess, they think they were born in a happy home, with a loving and caring caregiver along with the rest of their siblings, and were chosen to move into a good home." I 'guess' on a bittersweet tone, they nod.

"And then they were 'kidnapped' by a monster who keeps coming back to terrorize them. That's basically how most of them see it." They say. A sudden idea flashes through my mind, I quickly walk closer and reach to hold their hands, "S-say! Did an Albino with blue eyes get shipped here a couple months ago?" I desperately ask, they seem taken back by my sudden reaction and stay still for a few seconds before shaking their head, "There wasn't, sorry" They say, I force out a small smile before letting out a sigh, "Oh well, the chance was slim anyways..." I say.

"Anyway, we can't stay around here. Let's hurry up and find a place to hide, there is someone I want you to meet--" They get cut off by a girl's scream, 'Anna?!' My feet move on their own as I ignore their protests.

I quickly run towards the forest the scream came from, careful to not make any noises the way we learned from Mister before spotting a trembling boy who seemed about my age if not a little older, he seemed to be frozen in his place and was sweating buckets, I hide behind a nearby tree to spot five demons, four of them had four legs and didn't look quite human, the fifth one though, looked like the leader of the group and was the most human-like. "I will give you kids ten seconds. Choose between you three for me to hunt next. Don't worry, after you decide, I'm letting the other two go." The human-like demon told them, anger flushed through my body.

'So this is how they play? 'Let's not just kill them physically, why not do it emotionally while at it?' Disgusting...' I think, " So who will it be? The one who is already injured? The one who managed to hurt one of my attendants? Or the one who choose to betray it's folks to save themselves?" He asks.

 "10... 9...8... "

'Think, what would Ray or Norman do? Are there any openings?--No.'

"7...6.."

'The one who I should be asking is not either of them.' I think,

 "5..4..."

'...To chase after someone so defenseless for fun...'

I clench my fist in anger before running toward the boy and snatching the axe he was holding away from him.

'It's just disgusting.'

"3...2..--" "Run!!" I shout from behind the human-like demon. He turns around to look at my direction but is greeted by the axe flying toward his middle eye. I take this second to run pass them and pick up the injured boy who looked not older than maybe 8 years old and grab the girl's hand before pulling her out of there. We continue running for a while, 'Is this Goldie Pond?! What happened? Why would Minerva want us to come here? Was it a trap all along?-No. There has to be a reason he wanted us to come here, this is my chance to find what he left here. Are this the 'Poachers' the man was talking about? They can think and speak and yet they seem to have no conscience...It's awful that they are killing children alone... But turning the against their own families... I won't tolerate that...' I think before looking back to see if the kid I meet earlier was still following, which they were, but they didn't look exactly happy, I let out a sheepish smile before looking at the boy in my arms who was still trembling.
