I told him the about our dinner that night, he was just listening to me which I found very helpful because I was heavily carrying it and I don't know where I could vent out. Mas gusto ko kasi iyong pakinggan lang ako, hindi ko naman kailangan ng kumento ukol doon dahil lalong mabigat sa pakiramdam kung sakali.

Loti and Barbara would never just listen, they'd really have some things to say that I'm sure would make me more confused about the situation.

I got okay.

The weeks of the month continued rolling that I didn't want to think about the condo unit they gave me. The past weeks were hardly painful and stressing for me; thinking that anytime, our family might break apart. 

Kinakabahan ako. Araw-araw... baka bukas, wala na akong kumpletong pamilya. Baka bukas, hindi na uuwi si Daddy sa amin.

"Hi, Kiya!" lapit ni Paco sa akin habang naglalakad ako palabas ng gate.

"Hey." I smiled to greet.

"You free this Saturday?"

Kumunot ang noo ko pero nagkibit balikat.

"Barbara and Loti will be there, we'll be having a night out at Nightlite. In case you didn't know... and Barbara told me to invite you myself." Nakangiti niyang saad.

Iyon pala ang pinag-uusapan sa group chat namin kanina, pinipilit ako nila Loti na sumama sa kanila dahil sa pagtatapos ng midterms at deserve raw namin magsaya.

"Hindi ako puwede sa Sabado, e."

"Bakit?"

My forehead creased that made him clear his throat shyly.

"I'm sorry, didn't mean to go over the line. I was just curious because I really wanna see you at the party and of course, have a chat with you since you're not replying. Baka sa personal, puwede."

Paco is attractive, I don't really know why he's hitting on me. Bakit sa akin pa na halata namang walang interes sa kanya? Marami namang nagkakagusto sa kanya sa department nila, bakit pa siya pipili nang wala namang gusto sa kanya.

For sure, he sees me as a challenge. Honestly, I feel Warner more than Paco if we're talking about the moves. But all in all, I'm not interested in them.

"It's okay but I don't really have time to go to a party this Saturday—"

"Even just for an hour? Kahit sandali lang, Kiya. Barbara told me that you want to more schoolmates because your classmates aren't really friendly—"

"Haw-haw!" I was surprised when Ajax suddenly hooked his arm on my neck and messed my hair up.

I gasped as I noticed some of the passing students are glancing at us curiously because this is Ajax, he's already kinda known around for being Sonic Sounds' trainee and he got more popular when he helped a professor to serenade and propose to his girlfriend that's also a professor here. Siya iyong naggitara at nagtuloy ng kanta noong lumuhod na ang prof at nagpropose. It was amazingly successful, sariwa pa rin iyon sa Rockwell's quadrangle at pati na rin sa mga estudyante.

That was just last week!

Ngumiwi ako at agad kumalas sa kanya, he's in his usual all-white uniform. Pinandilatan ko siya ng mga mata saka siya sumipol at naglipat ng tingin kung saan kaya sinundan ko iyon. I saw Tanner walking while reading something on the folder he's holding, nakakunot ang noo sa bahagyang silaw sa liwanag.

Shit, I forgot that he was coming here today to get something from his professor!

Ajax quickly pulled me to walk with him while chuckling.
