Summer was rounding the corner, the sun shining from the enchanted ceiling in the Grand Hall

I looked up and down the table at the other Ravenclaws, they all sadly poked at their food

Everybody had been down since Penelope had been attacked, no one felt safe

I couldn't believe it was her

The person who seemed to be affected even more than me though was Percy Weasley

Most people had made the assumption that it was because he'd felt protected, being a perfect

The pained looks he got every time someone brought Penelope up made me feel like it was something more

Then there was Dumbledore

Turns out Mr. Malfoy had not only whisked Hagrid away, but Dumbledore as well

Apparently all 12 of the governors had signed an Order Of Suspension for Dumbledore

I would be lying if I said getting rid of Hagrid had effected much, if anything, around the school

But now that Dumbledore was gone we all knew everyone was doomed, it was simply a matter if time

There wasn't much talk, but one thing that would always be the subject of conversation was the prospect of Hogwarts closing

It wasn't hard to believe, but no one wanted to believe it

Visitors weren't allowed in the hospital wing anymore, out of safety concerns I guess

After transfiguration Professor Mcgonagall led the Ravenclaws to Herbolagy

We were working on something big, so all the houses were in the greenhouse

I made sure to stay somewhere within earshot of Harry and Ron

I was surprised when Ernie Macmillan walked up to them, closely followed by Hannah Abbott

With a deep breath Macmillan sopke

"I just want to say, Harry, I'm sorry I ever suspected you. I know you would never attack Hermione Granger, and I apologize for all the stuff I said. We're all in the same boat now, and, well-"

He held out his hand, and Harry shook it

They went back to work on their plants and I couldn't help narrowing my eyes at them

"That Draco Malfoy character seems awfully happy about all this" Macmillan said while snapping twigs "you know, he could be the Slytherin heir"

I looked over to Malfoy who was struggling to pull off dried leaves for the compost pile

Sure he wasn't exactly sobbing over it, but I wouldn't say he was happy

"I bet five gallons the next one dies" he said to Goyle "pity it wasn't Granger"

Well, maybe he was a bit happy about it

"Do you think it's Malfoy?" Macmillan said, drawing my attention back

"No" Harry said, with an uncanny amount of certainty
