"Brothers are like streetlights along the road, they don't make distance any shorter but they light up the path and make the walk worthwhile."

                                   ---Unknown

While a young 7 years old youth was playing with his playmates at the backyard of his house, he saw a little girl who had her hair done in cute pigtails, standing under the Gulmohar tree and watching him.

As soon as he saw her, he sprinted towards her and he was startled seeing tears in her eyes, "Sunshine, what happened, why are you crying? Did anyone bullied you?"

The little girl shook her head in denial but didn't say anything.

"Won't you tell me?" The older boy asked as he kneels down to level his eyes to the girl.

"Mom phoned and said that grandpa would come tomorrow and take me home, I don't want to leave you, " the girl replied as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"We can always communicate through the phone, right? And I will come to visit you when I have the free time, " Abhi coaxed the little girl and wiped her tears.

"You won't forget me, right?" The little girl asked Abhi.

"How can I? It's impossible to forget my Sunshine, " Abhi smiled as he kissed her forehead.

"Will you really come to see me when you have time?"

"I will, " Abhi said with a laugh and ruffled the hair of the little girl, asked, "will you play the violin for me when I visit you?"

"Umm... Do you promise me?" Sunshine asked showing her pinky finger.

"I promise, I will wait for you " Abhi said with a reassuring smile and hooked her picky finger.

He never thought that the girl who asked him not to forget her will in turn forget him....

The next day Abhi's family went to Vizag and Abhi headed to his company. After the company meeting, he returned to University; he is in a very good mood. After learning last night that his Sunshine and Aaradhya are one and the same, his mood became so much better. While Abhi was in his cabin, the attendant cane and said that someone had come for him. When he went downstairs, Abhi met with the sight of an unfamiliar man waiting for him.

"Hello, professor Abhinav."

As soon as Abhi saw the person in front of him, he knew that the other person wasn't an average person. Especially when he looked into his eyes, it seems as though he could completely see through a person.

"Hello, you are?"

"I'm Anirudh, Aadhya's brother." Abhi was a little bit surprised, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Ani...I haven't seen you in ages, " Abhi give him a brotherly hug and both went to a nearby cafe. After they placed their order, Abhi asked "how are you doing? How are attayya(aunty) and mavayya(uncle)?"

"I'm doing good and they are pretty fine."

"How do you know that I will be here?"

"How can I not know about the whereabouts of the person my sister loves ?" Anirudh replied, "I've heard quite a lot about you, if you were another man, I would have paralysed you by now for making my sister sad."

"I'm sorry Ani, I didn't know that Sunshine and Aadhya are the same person, " Abhi said, "but then her name was 'Sanvi'(means Sunshine) right? When did you change it to Aaradhya and I wanted to ask this for many years, why did she left me without saying a word?" Abhi asked as hurt flashed in his eyes.

Ani sighed and asked "do you really think she left without telling you anything? It's not that she didn't tell you, it's that she could not tell you." Then he said what happened that year.......

"When you were not there, your aunt and her daughter bullied Aadhya, grandpa who came there at that time saw it and became furious then he brought her home. Just a few days after the altercation with your aunt's family, Aadhya was poisoned at school and it impacted on her neurological system. Do you remember when your family was moving to Bangalore, me and my parents were the only ones who came and gave the sendoff. When you asked for Sunshine, my dad said she didn't want to come? Actually, she was lying unconscious in hospital at that time...."

"I thought she didn't want to come, out of anger on me for leaving Vizag and moving to a far place."

"That was an excuse my dad was made. She stayed in the hospital for half a year and almost didn't survive."
