"Is this (Y/N)?

You're standing on the wavering surface of the boat, a waterborne vessel that you've never seen before. This structure was something Armin once showed you in one of his books, it was a long time ago.

Anyways, you had no intentions of admiring its splendor because there were three new faces that were greeting you. None of which had very welcoming expressions, but nevertheless still regarded your presence.

"Yeah, this is (Y/N)." Reiner said, pushing you towards the three which caused you to stumble on your feet.

"Ah, I see. Quite shorter than I imagined. Nice to meet you, I am Zeke." The man with platinum blonde hair responded.

He and two others, another male and one female, observed you. The said man, Zeke, was a tall man with broad shoulders and an unkept beard. The other man looked to be much younger than Zeke, standing at a shorter height. He had gray eyes and an undercut that pushed back his blonde hair.

You remained silent, mostly because you didn't feel like talking and because you were too overwhelmed with the situation. Zeke took note of this but didn't regard it verbally.

"This is Porco Galliard," he gestures towards the young man. He didn't seem at all interested, instead he had his eyes towards the sea.

"This woman is Pieck, Pieck Finger." Then he gestures to the woman. Her disheveled hair bounces slightly as she takes a few steps towards you.

She takes your hands, which you didn't even realize were shaking, into hers. "I hope you find yourself feeling okay."

All you could do was nod.

"Well," Reiner and Bertolt both walk up beside you. "Is it time?"

"Yes." Zeke glances towards the woman and she obliges. Zeke takes a few steps to stand beside Reiner and Bertolt. Pieck walks to the back of the boat, presumably to the wheel.

You felt a rough hand pull you away, looking up you had realized that Porco had grabbed you so that you were beside him. Rude.

"Porco, I trust that you will welcome (Y/N) to our home," says Zeke.

"Don't count on it, but fine." Porco responds.

"Then we'll see you in a long while."

You watch as Reiner, Bertolt, and Zeke walk out of the boat and onto the surface. They cut the rope that tied the boat to the dock, and in a few short minutes, you were on your way to God-fucking-knows where.

Porco's footsteps fill the salty air and you find yourself leaning against the railing on the boat with him beside you.

"So (Y/N), huh?" He sighs and looks towards you. "Got a last name?"

There was a silence that seemed tranquil. You could smell the ocean, hearing the waves splash as the boat began its journey. The sun also seemed to have made its way higher into the sky.

"Ackerman."

"(Y/N) Ackerman?"

Truth be told, you had responded purely without thinking. You missed Levi, so much. Although you had never married him, taking his last name was the only thing you could do to comfort yourself.

Porco seemed to have his eyes widened, mouth slightly ajar. "Ackerman...Y-You have Ackerman blood?"

Swiftly, you turned your head to see him. "No, but my child does."

His expression relieves itself but he's still stunned. The reason as to why was beyond you, you could only question why the name Ackerman was regarded in that way. However, you decide not to ask.

All you could do was look back at the land you came from, watching it disappear with the growing distance between you two. It seemed as though this was the final goodbye.

Levi Ackerman sits before his mahogany desk in his study, a mostly empty bottle of alcohol and a shot glass accompanying him. At one point before the shot glass' appearance, there was a tea cup, but he had gotten rid of it hours ago.

In front of him was a piece of paper that Ymir had delivered not too long ago. Levi didn't know what to expect and he wanted to throw it instantly, but the envelope had your name on it. So of course he took it in with him, immediately revealing the letter inside

In his study, between sips of alcohol that couldn't get him drunk no matter how much he tried, he attempts to keep his emotions in check.

To my dearest Levi,

Fuck. He already couldn't bare it but he continued on anyways.

By the time you're reading this I'll probably be gone. It hurts to say that.

It only feels like yesterday we were together in that flower field where I made you that flower crown. I remember you didn't really like it.

That was a lie. Levi cherished the damn flower crown, more than you would ever know.

Anyways. I'll always remember every second that I spent with you. Even if it makes me kind of sad.

I'm sorry, Levi.

For leaving you and also keeping everything so vague. I can't even secretly tell you what's going on because they're watching me write this right now.

I'm sorry, I'm really sorry.

"It's okay, (Y/N)."

One day we will meet again. That's a promise. I'll be waiting for you, always. So please, survive until then, give it your best.

Until then,

Levi had to pause for a moment to breathe.

Goodbye, Levi.
