Chapter 42.

Adrianna's POV.

Derek had lots of questions while in the car, the main one being how I managed to get Hotch to allow me to bring Zena but all I said was I have my ways which technically isn't a lie, but it's also isn't the truth because technically I blackmailed him into letting me. We pulled into the BAU and I got Zena out, both of us flashing the credentials we have and me getting some funny looks for having Zena with me, but she was being good never leaving my side.

We made it to the sixth floor and into the conference room where everyone already was. All hell broke loose when Penelope saw Zena "OMG you bought a puppy" she shouted running over too her, which caused Zena to growl and step in front of me slightly. "Sorry PG she's from the kennels and isn't very trusting of people, so probably not so much shouting and energy" I tell her and hand her some of the treats we bought her. Penelope fed her the treats and Zena allowed her to pet her.

I threw Zena a rope toy on the floor while I sat at the round table, Zena just bought it to where I was and lay down and started chewing it. I was sat between Hotch and Derek while JJ started to present the case. "Amie Lync, 8-years-old, was taken an hour ago from a winter festival in Ashburn" JJ spoke,

"Any witnesses?" Emily questions,

"Her mom Barbra was right next to her, when she vanished" JJ replied,

"There must have been hundreds of people there, no one saw anything" I question, concern building for the girl, JJ just held out her hands saying no,

"It's a temporary gathering with little to no security" Reid says, knowing it was a fact,

"Oh, right Reid you and I are going to head to the families house" Derek says, considering the fact that Rossi and Hotch have already left to see the abduction sight, "The three of you I want you to work with Garcia, you need to look at every local abduction or attempted one in the past year, see if there's any overlap " Derek continues pointing to me, Emily and JJ.

"Good news is we're barely into the second hour" JJ replies,

"Yeah well odds are we've only got 22 hours left to find Amiee alive, so lets do this" Derek and Reid walking out the room.

We had been working on this case all day, answering phone calls, listening to news reports and talking to ither families. A lady called Sarah Hillridge came in saying that the same people who took Amiee took her son 8 years ago, no one other than me and JJ believe her and the only reason I do is because I wasn't in Reid's statistics, I was an anomaly so why couldn't he be one as well. We had managed to find their rouse so they could complete the abduction and we were looking for a team most likely a male and female and Charlie, if he was alive.

We gathered around the round table again along with Sarah Hillridge "11 families have confirmed the same woman 40 to 50 years old, calling for children, in some cases she even had a child with her" JJ spoke,

"She actually used the kids for the abductions. Were they her own or the ones kidnapped?" Sarah asked,

"We don't believe she's a mother, most predisposed female offenders are not" Emily filled her in, Zena was sat sleeping on the couch in the corner enjoying life,

"But they are the most violent" Reid had always managed to say things that make a situation worse, every looked at him and he averted his eyes now looking at the floor,

"Y-y-you said she was working with someone" Sarah spoke again, I looked at her and wished that my mother had that much faith in finding me after 8 years,
