The song used in this chapter belongs to Sara Kays, and she is amazing so all credit goes to her.

Adrianna's POV.

5 months later.

A lot had happened in 5 months since me and Derek had our late-night drive. I moved in with him full time as he was never sane-minded when I was alone and, in all honesty, neither was I, being alone made my mind wonder and think up scenarios that would then make arguments between me and Derek, but we always made up. We were officially a couple. Zena was happy with us and enjoyed going o runs with both me and Derek. Hotch and Hayley got divorced, I had to act as Switzerland choosing neither side, I visited Hotch at work bringing him lunch and coffee, made sure he had food in his fridge at his new apartment that I helped him move into, he still continued to act as sort of my older brother figure threatening Derek he'd lose his job if he hurt me, which I'm not even sure he could do. I helped watch Jack for Hayley, had girl's nights with her when Hotch had his time with Jack. Me and Jack did lots of stuff together, got ice cream, watched movies, built forts, took Zena on walks, helped him with schoolwork and was just the best older sister I could be and that I always wished I had growing up. The team also had a difficult case within those months involving a man named George Foyet and luckily, I hadn't been needed on that case even though Hotch wouldn't have allowed me to help even if I wanted to.

Tonight, I was going out with the team since they had tomorrow off work. They said we were going to some open mic/karaoke bar. Me and Derek were getting ready me in jeans and off the shoulder cropped wool jumper, we wore a blue button that hugged all the correct places on his body and black denim jeans. We pulled up to the place and walked in to see the team listening to an overly drunk guy trying to sing Jolene by Dolly Parton. We ordered our drinks me sticking to water because I didn't like drinking anymore and Derek having a beer, he said he wouldn't get drunk tonight, which meant more to me than I think he realizes. We greeted everyone at the table, and they all looked at me with knowing smirks on their faces, "Why do you all looking at me like that?" I question even Derek had a smirk on his face.

"Well," Penelope started "We may or may not have signed your name on the sheet to do an original and they said u could borrow any of the instruments up there", my jaw dropped, I would have to go up there and sing one of my songs to a bunch of strangers. Derek saw the panic in my eyes, "Hey, hey look at me princess" I looked up to him meeting his eyes, "I think this will be good for you, just pretend it's only us in the room, ignore everyone else. Okay?" he gave his little speech, I nodded.

I heard my name be called and walked up to the stage and grabbed the guitar sitting at the back. I placed the mic in front of a stool as if I'd done this millions of times. I looked to the team to see them all smiling and Reid holding and awkward thumbs up only for them to be smacked away by Rossi. "Umm, this is one of the songs I wrote and it's called 'waste my time' I hope you like it" I said awkwardly, as my fingers start to pluck at the strings.

(Play song)

This town has nothing left for me,
Except for you,
And I could leave this place today,
If only you came with me,
That's the only way I'd be happy,
And I would waste my life living here,
And I would waste my time sitting here for you, for you,
And I would waste my eyes on this shitty view,
If I could spend my nights laying next to you, my dear, my dear,
I've always wanted to live by the ocean side,
But if you have to stay here,
I would change my mind,
'Cause you mean more than me, than lu
xury, and sand beneath my feet,

And I'd be damned If I watched you walk away from here,
And I would waste my life living here,
And I would waste my time sitting here for you, for you,
And I would waste my eyes on this shitty view,
If I could spend my nights laying next to you, my dear, my dear,
And if I had to, I would follow you,
If I had to, I would follow you,
If I had to, I would follow you,
If I had to, I would follow you,
And I would waste my life living here,
And I would waste my time sitting here for you, for you,
And I would waste my eyes on this shitty view,
If I could spend my nights laying,
Next to you, my dear, my dear, my dear

I finished and the sound of clapping enveloped the room along with the whistles the team were creating. I was surprised with how much everyone liked my song, but then the unexpected happened, the people in the bar started chanting for another song, I looked to the manager who held his hands up to say 'do what the people want'.
