Philip wandered around the store, looking for his father. He was near tears, frightened someone would pick him up and run away with him. He didn't want that to happen, he loved seeing his mom or dad or sister or even Uncle John. Philip started getting more scared and cried.

"Uh...kid? Are you okay...?" a tall man said. Philip didn't care if he looked like a baby, he was scared.

"N...no, I lost my dad and I dunno where he is..." Philip said quietly. The man looked a little confused before standing up and looking around.

"Do you know his number? Maybe I can call him so he can find you?" the man said, standing a few feet away from Philip.

"Mmm... I think he put it on my backpack tag," Philip said, tugging off his backpack. He pulled out a card tied to the tag of his backpack and held it up with a huge smile.

"Alright, let me see..." the man said, pressing a few things on his phone before standing up again and holding the phone to his ear. Philip recognized the sound of his dad's voice, panicked as the phone was answered quickly.

"OH MY GOD, PLEASE TELL ME YOU FOUND MY SON!" his dad yelled through the phone.

"Uh....Yeah, I believe so, your number was on his backpack tag," the man said, calmly. It brought a sense of calmness to Philip, like it wasn't an actual emergency.

"Where is he?!" his dad said through the phone. The man looked at Philip then glanced around. Philip also looked around, seeing lots of clothes racks.

"Do you want to tell your dad where you are?" the man asked Philip. Philip nodded and lightly held the phone to his ear.

"Dad!! We are near the big boy clothes!" Philip said happily through the phone.

"Okay, thank you, Pip, please stay right where you are, I'm on my way over," his dad said, somehow sounding a bit calmer. Philip beamed and passed the phone back to the man as his dad hung up.

"Mister! Wait! You look like one of the pirate characters from the story books! Have you met Captain Hook?!" Philip said, getting distracted.

"Oh really? And, I have, I used to work on his crew, but don't tell anyone because Captain Hook will need to take me away," the man said, playing along with Philip's excitement. Philip's eyes went wide and he put a finger to his mouth.

"I won't tell anyone! How come you're so nice when Captain Hook is a meanie butt- wait! Don't tell my dad I said that!" Philip said, failing to catch his words.

"Why do you think I'm not on his crew anymore?" the man asked. Philip gave it a thought, then made an 'O' with his mouth.

"Philip! Oh my goodness, you're safe," his dad said, lifting up Philip. Philip gave a small giggle, then pointed to the man.

"Daddy! Doesn't he look like one of the pirates from the stories?!" Philip asked. His dad turned around and froze when he saw the man. The man looked confused.

"...Lee?" his dad asked the man.

"Do I know you? I mean, it was a pleasure to meet your kid, but I should go," the man said walking away.

"Dad!! He looks like a pirate- WAIT DID YOU KNOW THE PIRATE MAN?!" Philip started yelling.

"We're inside, you shouldn't yell. And that's a story Uncle John will tell you when you're older, but I do know... pirate man," his dad said, walking the opposite direction of the man.

"Wait does that mean you know his secret?!" Philip asked, giving huge eyes.

"...Secret? What?" his dad said, looking a bit confused.

"The one where he used to work for Captain Hook- WAIT! I wasn't supposed to tell anyone! Now Captain Hook's gonna take him!" Philip said. They left the store and Philip yawned a little.

"Oh no! Well, since he knows Captain Hook, I'm sure he'll be fine. Besides, maybe he can get Peter Pan to help him," his dad said, buckling Philip into his carseat.

"Yeah... Maybe one day he'll ask Peter Pan to take me to Neverland one day..." Philip said before falling asleep and dreaming about going to Neverland with his new pirate friend.
