reason : literally ANY angst plot, but for this, a modern au where lee and laurens are in an established relationship and lee said something bad abt washington or hamilton. not very serious, but still warranted the phrase

reason : HEAR ME OUT, okay, so like, its not normal for seabury to curse as a child of ✨ god ✨, but lee was drunkenly making fun of king george (modern or historical) and seabury couldnt get through to him until he cursed him out, concerning lee.

reason : okay, so like, using birthplaces and stuff, laurens and lee meet in like, new york or some shit and lee is used to cold weather from england and eventually poland while laurens is more used to the warm climate of s.c. BUT !!! he pretends that hes used to the cold and doesnt wear thick enough layers, so lee casually walked up to him and asks the prompt while offering his jacket. laurens cant tell if his face is red from the cold or from love at first sight

reason : seabury is a really concerned boyfriend. the ladys guide a.u., lee attempted to chase after someone, probably his sister sidney, and somehow ended up in the ocean (maybe like the og source and someone pushed him in or he literally tried to swim after the boat, who cares?) when he gets home, hes shivering to no end, and believes that samuel asks the prompt as sarcasm

reason : lee leads him to an abandoned house to try and hunt some ghosts. while lee notices nothing, laurens gets odd chills, hears creaking, etc. he states the prompt and lee says "relax, youre overreacting" proceed to laurens walking face first into a haunted painting and accidentally releasing the ghost.

reason : laurens lee duel, but when lee gets shot, laurens immediately runs to lees aid, apologizing and stating that he intended to misaim, but his misaim was misaimed. lee doesnt believe him as he bleeds on the field

reason : lee is in farmer refuted, where jon rua stands, yk? anyways, laurens comes up to him while draping his arm around lee. he drunkenly says "did ya hear that?" while pointing at hamilton and seabury are fighting, iconically as hamilton states his comment about seabury and the dog. lee says "yes" almost in a love struck voice while staring at seabury.
