Kokichi's POV.

"You can't go to the ball!" My sister, Kaede yelled before slamming my door shut. I slid down the wall looking at my torn dress. A felt a single tear run down my face as I threw it in the trash.

"Who cares. It's not like Miu would have even chosen me anyways" I sighed, "Don't be too sure now!" Tsumugi exclaimed. I turned to face her, "Wha- wait who are you?" I asked.

"I'm your fairy godmother silly!" She exclaimed, I gave her a confused look, "But they're not real?" I said. She chuckled, "I know, really I'm just some dress maker and trust me, you will get to that ball!" She shouted. I smiled slightly and stood up.

"Alright, what do I do?" I asked, "Just stand there, I'll get my cloth and tape measure!" I nodded and stood with my arms out.

After a while I finally had my dress on. It was purple with golden lines going long it. Tsumugi tied a checkered scarf around my neck, "And done!" She exclaimed. I twirled around in it for a few minutes before thanking her.

"Now to get you to that ball!"

Miu's POV.

I looked at all the people gathered at the ball and sighed,"Your highness, you've danced with almost every man here, surely you've found one? " My butler, Korekiyo said. I shook my head, " Not ye-" I cut myself off when I saw a man in a purple dress with golden lines and ribbons along it. A crossdresser perhaps? I smiled and stood up from my throne, heading toward him.

"Would you like to dance?" I asked him, he seemed rather shy but nodded. He took my hand and we started waltzing.

"How are you this fine evening?" I asked, "I'm doing well, I'm glad you decided to dance with me. I've gone through quiet the trouble to get here" he replied letting out a nervous laugh. I chuckled as we turned.

"You look lovely by the way" I said, "Thanks! You do as well"

We continued to have small talk for a while before the clock hit twelve, "Oh shit" I heard him whisper under his breath. I gave him a confused look, "What?" I asked.

Kokichi's POV.

My mom and sisters said they'd be back by this time and if they see I'm not there...

"I-I have to go" I said quickly before running, "Wait! I never got your name!" I heard Miu yell from behind me, "it's Kokichi!" I exclaimed before I ran out of sight. Or so I thought. I heard the princess from behind me.

I continued to run as fast as I could and ended up tripping. My shoe fell off but I couldn't go back to get it. I ran until I was out of the castle and at my house again. I slid down my bedroom door and smiled, "I'm sure she'll find me again" I said as I closed my eyes.

Miu's POV.

I picked up the shoe that Kokichi left and sighed, "We'll need to find him again" I said before going back inside.

"Kaito, Maki, please try and find Kokichi, he has purple hair that was spiked up in a way, one purple eye and one yellow eye, he was also rather pale" I explained. They saluted me and started looking, " Trust me Kokichi, I will find you again and you will be my prince" I said as I smiled to myself.
