SENZO

I wake up feeling fresh this morning. It's a lazy Saturday morning. I call Alana before I do anything else.
Me: Good morning my queen.
Her: Hi.
She giggles
Me: What's so funny?
Her: Did last night really happen?
Me: What last night?
Her: Were you really here? In the middle of the night?
Me: What?
Her: Well whoever was here, gave it to me so good.... aaah
Me: Hey stop moaning. I thought I was your man???
Her: mmmh... aaaah
Me: I'm gona get you and remind you who's your man. Ngiyindoda yomZulu mina.(I'm a Zulu man)
Her: Whoaaa baby I'm sorry. Don't be mad. Thank you for last night.
Me......
Her: I'm sorry for playing too hard. I love you.
Me: See you on Monday miss Phillips.
Her: Wait I'm....
I cut the call before she finishes speaking. Let's see what she does.
Message alert on my phone... Ayi my woman can't get enough.

Sms: I'm at the airport, please come fetch us.

What the hell. I call Sam and he's already in the yard, so he takes me to the airport. I spot the ex carrying my sunshine. I smile and rush to them.

Me: Sawubona maNxumalo
Thandi: Hi hubby. Princess missed you.
Me: Come to daddy nunu.
She hears my voice and is looking around, searching for me.
Me: Sabona. Sabona. MaShenge sabona.
The toothless smile is everything. I take her from her mom and she starts giggling. We go to the car and drive home. To be met by a sight. My queen is here, standing next to her car in white shorts. She looks so hot right now. I don't think we've spoken about Thandi and knowing this mental case in my car. I'm shitting bricks. Even starting to sweat and Sam is moving in slow motion.

The car finally stops and I step out. Thandi doesn't wait for me to open the door or to be introduced. She rushes straight to Lana with Samu in her arms.

Thandi: Hi dear I'm mrs Buthelezi and this is our daughter Samukelisiwe.
Alana: Hi mam, I'm Alana, Shenge's heart.
Whaaaat!
Thandi: What?
Alana: Oh sorry mam, I thought you knew I'm the madam of this house. Let me show you guys to your room. Babe I forgot my keys this morning. Please open for me, so I can help our guests settle in. I'm sure they are tired.

I'm so shocked right now, watching this movie unfold. I didn't think it was possible to fall deeper in love with this woman. I open the door and they walk in. I'm left with Sam.
Me: Sam can you believe what just happened?
Sam: I trust small madam sir. She is fantastic.

I follow them in and can hear her telling Thandi about the house.
Alana: And finally this is your room, there's a cot in there for princess and your ensuite bathroom. I will organise brunch for us, Josh will come get you.

She walks to me and I can see tears streaming down her face. I hold her hand and pull her to our room. She is shaking from shock, her legs give in and I hold her up. I hold her so tight, kissing the top of her head.
Me: I'm sorry my love. I'm so sorry. I love you and I'm sorry.
Her: Stop!
Me: I can't stop. I need you to forgive me. Please say something my love.
Her: What are you apologising for?
Me:.....
Her: You are apologising Josh. Or am i imagining the apology?
Me: No
Her: So what did you do?
Me: I didn't explain the situation properly, so I'm afraid you will leave me.
Her: It's Saturday morning. You said you will only see me on Monday. Oh gosh Joshua. You were planning to play happy family without me.
Me: You've got to believe me I didn't know they were coming.
She sits on the bed looking defeated. This one doesn't like fighting. I kneel in front of her taking her hands in mine.
Me: Sthandwa sam(My love) I honestly didn't know they were coming today.
She puts her finger ony lips.
Her: You told me your daughter was coming to visit. You told me that you have truckloads of baggage. You told me you loved me. You showed me you love me and I believe you.
I can't help myself but shed a tear at this point.
Me: Marry me.

Her: Plus you said your mom was bringing Samu. Plus did you see how she jumped at the chance to introduce herself. That bitch is crazy. Wait. What did you just say?
Me: Marry me Lana.
Her: You've lost your marbles. We are only getting to know each other. You haven't seen MY crazy.
Me: Ok promise me that you will think about it.
Her: You've lost your mind Senzo
Me: You know that name too?
Her: I know a lot darl. Now let me leave the happy family. I'll see you at work. I'll talk to Susan about the meal I promised mrs Butty.
She runs out giggling.

THANDI

I want my man back but there's always some hag hanging around him. He was mine to keep, but he was so boring. Always so lovey dovey. Always touchy feely. I needed adventure and got burnt. Even after he caught me we kept getting together for sex. I have to be honest though his sex game is on point. We were already broken up when I fell pregnant. I wasn't trying to trap him. I was on the pill and we always used a condom. But this one and his bad habit of putting a condom on too early. Me being on antibiotics caused my pill not to work. Double trouble.

I devised a plan to win him back and tricked my mother in law. She was supposed to come here, but I exchanged her tickets and the mandatory waiting period, caused us to delay the trip.

When we found that little girl here, I thought my little intro will lead her to run off crying, but this tough bitch stuck it to me. I'm impressed. But I'm not quiting Senzo is mine.

ALANA

I ran out of there in stitches. Not because any of the shit happening in that house was funny. But just because my little brain couldn't reconcile any of it. I wanted to go see my girls, but they were still upset about last night. I don't know why because I was with my man. I'm not willing to explain myself so I will stay away from them.

SMS: I MISS YOU. I LOVE YOU.

This man is relentless. I send him a voicenote: I know my baby. Just take care of you.

I get home and find my mom in the kitchen.
Me: Hi mommy
Her: Hi love, I wasn't expecting you back so soon.
Me: I'm here.
Her: What happened?
Me: Honestly I'm not sure.
Her: Tell mommy baby.
Me: His ex arrived unannounced.
Her: All the way from South Africa?
Me: Yes. Apparently the daughter missed him.
Her: She's up to no good baby. Is he worth all the trouble?
Me: I love him.
Her: That is not what I asked you baby.
Me: He is.
Dad walks in

Dad: What are my two favourite ladies talking about?
Us: Nothing
Him: Ok be like that. I know it's boy trouble. And a man's perspective wouldn't be a bad thing.
Me and mom look at each other and burst out laughing. We run out of the kitchen. We know he won't stop.
