meeting the parents

"master, they're seated at the dining hall already." a soft spoken lady informed them as soon as they entered through the gigantic double doors.

jeongin bowed and smiled at the woman, muttering a thank you before walking through the extensive carpeted hallways.

"are you okay love?" the younger asked and hyunjin nodded although he was shaking a bit. it was for a minute or so when they walk because of how huge the place was.

finally, they've arrived on the dining hall where it looked like it was straight from a castle. on the end of the long table sat jeongin's father and beside him, his mother. their facial expressions softened and they genuinely smiled at the two when they saw them.

hyunjin was relieved, because he had always known how the yangs were kind. "jeongin," his mother sighed in relief as she ran towards his little boy.

the blonde watched as she kissed his forehead and checked to see if he was hurt. hyunjin felt a pang of sadness, knowing he would never feel that same type of love from his mother again.

he looked down and was surprised when lia, jeongin's mother, approached him with a smile. "how are you, dear?" she was very soft spoken, just like her son.

lia checked hyunjin's face as well and saw that his fingers were bruised. "have you applied medication on this already?" she ushered both of the boys to sit and the older was beyond surprised of how caring she is.

now he knows where jeongin got all his kindness from.

"i uh i'm okay mrs. ya-"

"call me lia, mrs. yang makes me feel old." and that got the whole table laughing. the energy in the room was so light, hyunjin instantly felt comfortable and at home.

jeongin who was sat beside the older intertwined their fingers while they laugh.

"um about the news going around, i'm sorry-" he bowed and just as he was about to take all the blame, jeongin's father calmly interrupted him with a smile that makes everyone feel comfortable. "son, we know the truth and we couldn't be anymore thankful for protecting our little jeongin."

jeongin flushed in embarrassment but the older thought it was cute. hyunjin bowed to the old man in a sign of respect, and then suddenly everything was in place again.

"we have contacted the press to remove all fake news that have circulated, we are also to make a statement later on to announce and prove your innocence." lia said and the blonde couldn't be more thankful. "thank you mi-, lia." he older smiled sheepishly.

"please stay for breakfast. we'd love to get to know our sons friend more, other than just a business partner." hyunjin squeezed innie's hands under the table, both thinking the same thing.

friend .... oh lia if only you knew

"we would be happy to stay even though jeongin already had his breakfast earlier." the blonde turn to the blushing boy beside him with a smirk while his parents were laughing, not knowing the real meaning behind hyunjin's statement.

the younger slapped his thigh under the table and proceeded to have a chat with his parents.

"you're going to pay for that." he whispered causing hyunjin to get excited.

"make me."
